One of the earliest Billy's was Matthew Koon, an asian boy; one of the boys who played the role for the longest time was a black boy, Layton Williams; one of the original Broadway Billy's (and, in my opinion the finest dancer and actor of all the boys I've seen in the role -- and I've seen a LOT of them), David Alvarez was a Canadian boy of Cuban descent. And it really doesn't require much of a suspension of disbelief to accept that Billy could be interracial. The boy on this clip has a mother who is Caucasian; one of Britain's finest most celebrated singers is Dame Shirley Bassey, who is bi-racial. So this should not bother you so. Lighten up!
@one two Entschukdige bitte die arg verspätete Genehmigung Deines Kommentars, aber ich habe insgesamt 17 channels auf YT ("Weltrekord" ?) . Meine Genehmigungsvorbehalte haben sich bewährt. Das Musical wurde nur vier Wochen lang aufgeführt hier in Hamburg. Emile ist weiterhin Balletttänzer - zuletzt in Tschaikowskys "Der Nussknacker" in London. Unter Emile Gooding in der Suchfunktion findest so einige weitere Videos auf YT.
Auch dieser "Billy" strahlt zum Schluss überglücklich...:))) Das Hamburger Abendblatt schrieb in seiner Rezension über die Premiere: "...das Publikum hatte den Emile ganz schnell in sein Herz geschlossen..."
wskfanclever Das ist ohne Frage eine der besten Änderungen der Tour. Im West End mussten die Billys immer stoisch ihre Endpose halten, in der Tour durften sie den Applaus 'als sie selbst' in Empfang nehmen.

Billy is English and in England if you haven't been or didn't notice that English is not a race theirs so many races in England so you better do your research because he was born in England so therefore he is English not matter what race he is so shame on you
Ich hatte es auch letztes Jahr live gesehen in Hamburg, aber mit einem der anderen Billys. War schon geil. Mein Puplikum war ein bisschen lahm, aber sonst war es echt cool. Die meisten Billy Darsteller kommen entweder aus dem Ballett- oder dem Streetdancebereich, deswegen findet sich in dieser Choreo eine Mischform aus beidem.
