Can you imagine how hard it must be to cast this role. This boy has to be able to act, sing and master so many genres of dance. He has to have great stage presence, and phenomenal stamina.
watching this is the theater made me start my ballet, tap and jazz back up i nkow regret stopping as im 15 and am only grade 3 as i started last week after quitting 4 years ago thank you to the people that made this show as it inspired me and other chrildren xx.

I think Liam dancing is amazing definitely his strongest part of playing Billy... I'd probably say Elliott Hanna was one of the best for overall dance, singing and acting... But Liam was one of the originals... It's an amazing show and all the Billy's and Michaels have been talented kids down the years
I agree, I think Elliots strength was the acting, it's the most alike to Jamie bells original mannerisms ive seen. But Liam mower takes the cake with the dancing

I saw this in London at Victoria Palace last wednesday. I had never seen Billy Elliot or heard any of the songs.... But this song brought tears to my eyes. Simply Amazing
All the Billy's are great. They have to be to be able to perform on stage for so long in such a demanding part for anybody, let alone a young person, but nobody is as good as Liam!
All the Billy's I've seen have been amazing in terms of dancing and acting ability but I would say that none of the ones I've seen have been as good as Liam vocally. His voice is really good considering he was only about 12 at the time. If he looks after it properly he could have a good future in musicals.

He was so fantastic, as Billy. I saw him in London years ago. Just saw the Broadway production in Seattle, and Portland. A new boy named Giuseppe Bausilio is also brilliant playing the part. What a show......

I love the use of the northern accent because its very easy to over do the accent but this boy does it amazingly well. Also he manges to sustain the accent throughout another hard thing to be able to do. This boy is incredibly talented.
I think Liam is the definitive Billy Elliot. He looks -- and sounds -- as if he's from where the musical is to take place, and none of the new kids, while terrific gymnasts and dancers, have been able to duplicate this look and sound. Liam's definitely the gold standard, and I'm glad it's HIS voice on the cast album. A shame he had to grow up!

He's absolutely mesmerising ... does anyone else just drool when he dances, or am I on my own? None of the other Billy's that I've seen have ever had that effect on me! One day, maybe, in a hundred years, I will be at least a tenth of the dancer that he is ... Thanks for uploading this, by the way!
I have to say, being in the biz for the past 20 yrs. I HATE when there are 10 cameras giving every different angle possible, when all we want to see is what the director intends for us to see. The audiences view. We miss so much when they film it like this. That being said... Liam, BRAVO!
Tom Holland was also A good Billy. When I seen ' The Impossible ' I knew right away I'd seen his face in something!! Great actor and roll on his new roll As Spiderman!!
I've never seen the Billy Elliot film nor, unfortunately, the show (although, of course, I know the gist of the story), but there are a number of show clips which occur on RUclips and elsewhere which have a certain something about them and make me feel I missed out on the experience. @louistomlinsonX you won't be disappointed! I've wanted to see it since it came out, and my drama teacher was able to get me tickets and I got to see it last week. It was amazing.
I don't get this audiance however! When ever I see Bill Elliot, the audiance always starts clapping as he's turning. He even gets a standing ovation when he's finished from the people up the back! This audiance just seems to wait till he's finished then cheer. He deserved far more than that! He's just pure perfection! Beyond adjectives!
What about when Zach Atkinson as "Michael" stomps the lights out at the end of "Expressing Yourself" in the Billy Elliot Live video? That's the instant in time that gets it for me. Otherwise, for a sustained moment, for me it's Elliott's Angry Dance in that same video. (I could never afford to see shows like this live.)
liam went to the same drama school as all of my siblings and they said that they remember him. I haven’t actually seen home perform before but this was amazing!
