I've broken my previous phone screens before growing up and learned to replace them, but for this phone I bought it used(like new) for $330, now it's $210, $350 to have someone else fix it, or do it myself and buy the LCD/glass/ect to fix it gonna be $100-150 plus my own labor maybe it takes me a under a hour, not practical to fix it for me. Websites offer $15-25 for it broken (broken lcd, ect). It's probably worth to buy one broken, fix then flip, but as a consumer just gotta buy a new one :(
Man these phones glasses break so easily. I drop it from my bed height, onto carpet, maybe it hit a plastic table on the way down but the glass broke this stuff is so weak and cheap.
just changed my screen. and the feedback from the screen seems to be slow or laggy. like it's not reading my inputs. this is especially noticable when scrolling or the screen changes from menu to home. why idea?
Hello, thank you for uploading this video. I have a question, is it the original screen or is it the ones you can find on Aliexpress with word "OLED" in the ad description? I would like to buy one for a pixel I got recently and I'm not sure if the Chinese oled Knockoff worth the money. Thank you.
This was original. I know there are some knockoff screens you can actually buy (most of the time that’s not true for curved OLED screens). That said, I cannot 100% guarantee that screens sold through Amazon will be OEM (also, OEM can be original screen with replaced glass, that’s fine. Don’t worry about the glass quality, especially if you broke the OEM glass in the first place)
Thanks for that video; did it exactly as described and everything went without a hitch. Wouldn't trust it to be waterproof/-resistant but I'm not planning on submerging it anyway. 😊👍👏
This video and your comment as well as a few others are actually giving me confidence to go ahead and fix my P6P myself... Was this your first time doing a screen replacement?
Yeah I realized. I just decided to buy a refurbished model In excellent condition instead. And that was still less than the cost of the OEM screen. @@RealWorldReview
Hello, just want to know if I can fit an lcd with frame I recently ordered on my PIxel 6 that has an lcd with no frame. Is the frame removable? Thanks!
Hello everyone, if anyone knows please help me, the black film on the main camera unit is torn on my pixel 1: Does its absence have a significant impact? 2: Is it possible to buy it somewhere? thank you in advance
@@RealWorldReview i saw some screens only supports 60hz and doesn’t support fingerprints Also the links you shared says not available Is there any new links?
So do I need the frame if I reuse the old fingerprint reader? The second link with frame is only $115 and the others are $130. Why wouldn't I just get the cheaper one and reuse my fingerprint reader?
I'm not too familiar with the parts so I'll try the with frame one. Any quality differences on screen resolution or touch responsiveness on these two screens vs oem?
@eschrader now that companies make aftermarket’s of these screens, it’s hard to say which one to go with. Your safest bet would be buying from ifixit, as the links I provided have no reviews. Always test before install if you do go with Amazon. I recommend Amazon for the price but also the guarantee they include, just make sure you test the screen first so they have no chance to reject a return if there are issues.
Welp, you get a like. You're the only one (that I know of) that mentioned the frame on the screen. A lot don't even mention it. Mine kept saying _(with the finger print scanner)_ my phone is not allowed, or something, so after replaced the screen, I just didn't use the fingerprint scanner anymore. A punishment for damaging my phone... But now the screen is acting up again, found some replacements for ~$100, gonna replace the screen once again for now. Upgrade to 7pro later. _(no point in doing a full legit screen for replacement $200+ when I can find a 7pro in Good condition for $350ish)_
Do you just pry the finger print sensor ribbon cable clip up? My old screen broke when I tried that but got the cable out unharmed luckily. I don't want to break the new clip.
I also replaced my battery while I was in there. I'm skipping adding the graphite tape back since it's a backup phone. Hopefully I don't regret that if it gets hot. Thank you!
Also I think a T3 driver fits those screws better than a T4. I used a 1/32" flat screwdriver to get it apart before I noticed my battery kit, Viimon for Pixel 6 Pro Battery, came with a really nice t3 driver
My Google Pixel 6 Pro fell from the first floor onto a concrete surface, and the display is badly damaged, so I'm planning to replace it. However, I'm concerned about the safety of the cameras and other internal components. I'm unsure if repairing the display will be sufficient, or if other parts might also be damaged. Thank you!
Hi, that just happened to me, plus a car ran over it, the screen is all black and cracked, but I still can call the cellphone plus answer calls (the touch works and I remember the location of the button). Did you end up changing your screen? Was any other component damaged?
Links for the screen and such are old and broken. Was able to search and find it though. Debating it but $88 is pretty cheap. I pay $20 a month for insurance on 2/3 phones. The one not on insurance broke...not upset if I can do it for $88. Upset that I've been paying for the other 2 for 3 years ... 😆

Bro that's what I'm saying!! 3 TIMES NOW. Each time cost $150. Now they shot up to $230
Some amazon links are unavailable unfortunately

It's because it doesn't support 120hz, you've bought the OEM one, just turn off the screen smoothing
Hi! I know that this is a replacement tutorial but do have any adea about screen reglass? Do it need to calibrate the finger print?
Has anyone had such a problem that there is not even a option(fingerprint unlock, don`t even face unlock ) in the settings?(pixel 6 pro)
Thanks for the video. Was that double sided tape you put around the edges and cut with the razor blade? If so, what kind is it?
Where did you get those clamps? They are pretty sweet for sure. Going to attempt to fix mine tonight.
How did it go
@dexteralex3118 it went well. Busted again so round 2
@@marcryanii3233 sorry to hear that mate. Mine just got busted, going to fix by the weekend.
Hey, the frame and camera have connectors in the same places and I can't fit them together. What could be the problem?
Not 100% sure thats waterproof like OEM, is there no kit that comes with pre-installed
Anyone have a link to a screen recommendation that has worked for them? The link provided doesn't work anymore.
Thank you for making it simple ! Excellent video👌
About the New information here" at 06:28, what do you mean by lineup the finger print?
Thanks

No idea, but probably 60. You need to pay big bucks to get 120hz right now. My wholesale cost is $262

Hello, just want to know if I can fit an lcd with frame I recently ordered on my PIxel 6 that has an lcd with no frame. Is the frame removable? Thanks!
Yes there’s a small plastic frame it sits on. It doubles the gluing, but it’s possible to do.
Please I have been searching for this but it seems like impossible to get a new Pixel 6 pro screen here in my country Cameroon.
What adhesive is used to reseal the screen/phone assembly?
A b6000 type glue. E6000, t7000, etc. Those all work. Your phone isn't water resistant after a year so don't worry about that
How can i get a new screen for my google
Did you ever end up being able to get the fingerprint calibration to work through the Google site?
What are the chances of getting a 6 Pro screen that's already cracked off without damaging the screen further (eg to change battery)

Very common. Trying to supply these screens is very difficult

Yeah, why wouldn't it?

@heshamahmed4224 all the links for the screen are good, I just checked. I might need to update others though
does the display stay the same as the original ¿?
Great Video, good job explaining your tips! Cheers!
Have you used any aftermarket screen? If so which did you find were any good as the genuine screen is more expensive than a new phone now.
None of the aftermarket ones are good. Trying to get genuine is a pain or very expensive nowadays
Please how can I get this?
How much for that display you've bought?
Varies. Currently I am paying $263 for OEM refurbs, $361 for service packs from Google.
So do I need the frame if I reuse the old fingerprint reader? The second link with frame is only $115 and the others are $130. Why wouldn't I just get the cheaper one and reuse my fingerprint reader?
Not sure what you mean, cause the frame and fingerprint aren’t related. I recommend the frame because it’s a pain to install, similar to the Pixel 5.
I'm not too familiar with the parts so I'll try the with frame one. Any quality differences on screen resolution or touch responsiveness on these two screens vs oem?

Sorry for my late question is that screen supports 120hz and 1440p
Doubtful. Lots of 60hz panels out now. Hard to find OEM for reasonable prices (service pack OEM screens cost me $320 wholesale)
Personally dont need the fingerprint scanner. Never used it. So ill do this same thing without it. Thankyou

It should pop up like a normal gate connector. Shouldn’t have to add too much force.
I'm trying to slide the old one up but it doesn't hinge, the old one just crumbles
Ooh you pry up the back side of the black piece, then you can slide in the ribbon on the front.
I also replaced my battery while I was in there. I'm skipping adding the graphite tape back since it's a backup phone. Hopefully I don't regret that if it gets hot. Thank you!

Nope
