The Shounic server works rather well. You do see some weird slideshow effects on projectiles, and half the time you don't know what kills you, but you can still play and fight without worry. It is a warzone out there. Especially on choke maps.

There’s still plenty of servers with the original saxfon hale with a good few players, but the official servers (or just community servers hosting the official maps) either due to bots or people losing interest, have been dwindling in player numbers.

played it for about 3 hours and I can say it was worth it, until I got banned for supposedly having a "multi-hack" even though I have no cheat software installed, or nor have I ever had it installed. The admins are a joke, they ban people for simple funny soundboards.
I think I got a good strat idea for 64 player VSH. 16 engies, 16 Holiday Punch heavies, 16 demos, and 15 others of choice. The heavies can keep Saxton stunned, while the Demos, Engies and whatever else chip away with sentries, pipes and whatever.
