She's one of the best sopranos of the 20th century. I love Eva Marton!
1984-85 was her peak. One of the best performances of her life.
Maestra Marton was in her top at that time.
Her great, large and potent voice were awesome!

Brava Marton indeed! So wish I was there in this 1985 soiree. Marton was at the height of her vocal splendor. Few months before this performance, she debuted at La Scala in Turandot: Milan was at her feet. Then she went on to be Brunhilde in San Fancisco for her's celestial Siegfried/Gotterdamerrung and then, early July, here she was for Andrea Chenier, in 3 fantastic performances, 2 for the video recording plus a last 1 with Salvatori in place of Cappuccilli and La Mamma Morta with higher end.
uno stile aristocratico....sempre controllando una Figura in scena che giganteggia di già come appare e lei attenta sempre a non caricare quello he già la musica fa esplodere da sola...quindi ;umile ancella raccoglie una bella lettura di quest'aria ...che ha bisogno non solo di Voce...ma anche di molta testa e Cuore...Chapeau:..ottimo il direttore Chailly e il mio ricordo di questa artista... Una Turandot alla Scala. E una Tosca da urlo in Arena...
