    Your receipe is perfect however I would recommend to add jeera powder and abit of emili water to remove the fishy smell from the duck.

      You are right shivani. A lot of people can’t cook duck curry and I am one of them . I have stuffed it up many times over the years and now I am quite convinced that with this recipe I will get it right.

    Some people add tamarind at end and stir some don’t i add 2 cinnamons sticks and some cloves because has has gamey taste and lots chili also lots fresh cilantro at end. Duck meat is dark so the darker the better😂. Love the recipe❤❤❤

      Hi Karen, duck curry goes well with dhal. We usually make it too with duck curry. It’s good to know that Fiji & Trinidad cook the same way. I’m amazed ❤️

    Hi Chef! This looks good! Out of curiosity, do you know what size duck was used for this recipe or are the ingredients quantities the same for any size of duck?

    • @sanjeetaskitchen7767
      @sanjeetaskitchen7767  2 года назад

      Hi Rizwan! I have cooked a male duck which is a bit bigger in size compared to the female. The quantity of spices & ingredients can vary depending on the amount of meat you are cooking, so yes you can use less of each ingredient if you are cooking small amount. Hope this helps. Thank you

    Hi , don’t you put tamarind at the end ??

    • @sanjeetaskitchen7767
      @sanjeetaskitchen7767  2 года назад +1

      Hi Vanisri, I don’t put tamarind towards the end. This is how my mum cooks & I have learnt it from her. For me, the first stage of cooking is very important where you cook the meat on low heat for at least 15-20 minutes till oil separates & than add water, or else the meat will have a fishy taste.
      However everybody have their way of cooking & you are most welcome to add tamarind.
