Personally my principles tell me to cut off bigoted relatives like Ruby. She’s so ready to just decide she’s correct, it’d be funny if she wasn’t so disgusting. The idea that someone not wanting to hurt others (ie offend them) isn’t in line with their principles is absurd to anyone that cares about the people in their lives feeling comfortable with them. In case anyone needs the advice- if you don’t know how to refer to a transperson in your life, ask them!
For real she literally started it off with "If you're going to comment with advice stemmed from political correctness or your own personal experiences those aren't needed" So don't say the truth?
Ironically, she actually cut herself off from her family because they are "in distortion". Her new fake therapy practice/mind coaching or whatever is basically just a cult, the women who runs it has an absurd amount of reviews of people saying she ruined their family (and these are mostly from before ruby joined to, so most likely not fake) and got her license revoked by the state of utah for breaking HIPPA laws by sharing private patient info w/ the LDS leadership at the patients temple and to BYU staff, resulting in him being kicked out of BYU and getting temple privileges revoked which are a big deal in mormonism.

Ruby is a Mormon. If one of her kids comes out as part of the LGBT community she would send them to conversion therapy. As a mother of an amazing pan and Poly daughter Ruby infuriates me. Her children are not possessions, but she treats them like objects, and doesn't care who they are!

As a transmasculine person myself, I am so incredibly sorry that has happened to you. Ruby and her family are part of the Mormon religion I believe. This means that basically Ruby is brainwashing her children to hate people.
Just a heads up for those that want to know, the 'Wilderness Camp' she sent her son to for 'Unreasonable Behaviour' is well known for its Conversion Therapy Practices, maybe there's a reason she treats that son so poorly, he's not growing up into the man she thinks he should be.
Like father, like son. Regardless, their struggles seem real. The littlest two are so messed up - ugly crying after being shamed by Mom for being a kid - all on the internet, of course.
@@phillipgalan660 yeah thats kinda the whole deal about conversion camps. theyre trying to "stop" you from being gay and converting you into a straight person (which is not actually possible and thats why conversion is considered torture and banned from lots of places)
Ruby is an awful mother. When my teen came out as bisexual. Guess what I did? I got on the web, and decorated my house in celebration of who they are. That’s what a REAL mother does. No one who sees their children as a paycheck, treats their children they way they do, is a real mother. Her children are going to resent the hell out of their parents.
my mom suspected I was bisexual after she searched my phone when I was 12 and she did not take it well at all. It's good to know there are supportive moms like you out there, your kid is very lucky :)
She’s awful but what you did was weird and over the top. You don’t need to celebrate normal things and make them a huge deal, it feels like pandering and ironically, makes them seem less normal. Your kid is bi, just treat them with the normal love and respect you would any kid. I’m bi too, my mother came out as a lesbian and divorced my father when I was 7. Neither of us made a big deal, and no one else did. It’s ridiculous what people feel the need to do to show how ‘woke’ and ‘supportive’ they are nowadays.
Oh man when you said “what’s this got to do with being bald?!” I absolutely lost it 😂😂😂 I was sitting here like wtf when she brought up not wanting to tell someone they’re going bald like what?? Lmfao 🤦🏼♀️
Besides her radical views the fact that she’s plastered her children all over the internet and embarrassed them… how many of them do you think will have a long lasting relationship with her after they leave the home? Seriously.
I don’t see her having a relationship with any of them. She’s overbearing, narcissistic, and only films her kids for money and always with complete disregard for their feelings.
As a trans guy (been on T for 6 years now), I really appreciate your opinion. Some of my religious family members "disowned" me, and have since completely changed their opinions. They are still who they are, but supportive of the LGBT+ community. Most people have empathy and change when people they love are part of a community, and some people are mentally ill... aka Ruby
@@rydellgreen5493 It kind of depends. I take a shot once a week and it costs me 17 dollars a month, which I think is pretty cheap. This literally sounds like a Relief Society (sunday school class specifically for adult women) lesson. Basically she is saying to cut off the family member because one bad apple spoils the bunch. You have to do it if you are a good Christian/Mormon because you have to protect your kids from outside influences in case they get any ideas about treating people as human beings (which she may have a point there, the main initial reason I left was because I had too many unanswered questions about how gay people would be able to join the church if they wanted to. These questions didnt make me gay, but they did start me on the path of realizing I'm gay)

Of which she possesses none of. She calls lies truth, self-righteousness is humility, 'responsible' is actually 'suffocating control'. Principles are actually the bigoted opinions of LDS prophets, and honesty... Well, she makes a pretty good stab at that one. She's not honest with herself, but she shares enough with the internet that the rest of us know she's transphobic and mentally ill.
I’m a former drug addict, but my life was never in more peril than when I was using crude language. Let me tell you, I’ve OD’d on crude language too many times….
I've never understood the mindset of individuals like Ruby. "Truth" is only truth if it can hold up to scrutiny. If you must maintain a bubble around you to shelter from influence, is it truth that you're holding onto or fear?
I think we need a proper explanation from Ruby regarding her definition of "control"... Was anyone else confused by her labelling your empathy for another's feelings as being "in control"?
Maybe she feels that we shouldn't have control over our own thoughts, feelings, and actions - in a "Jesus take the wheel" kind of way. ~ Anastacia in Cleveland
Lets not forget that they also pulled their son out of football because it was the only place to their "standards" that he actually went above and beyond and did well, but locker talk was too risky for their son to be around.
As a gay person i've always been thankful that i'm not trans, it must be awful to feel like your body doesn't match your brain. Why is it so hard to be empathetic to other people? You could have been born exactly like them. These parents are awful, i hope their kids manage to recover from their upbringing and i also hope they grow up and cut them out of their lives.
i don’t mean to come off as aggressive or a ‘perfectionist’ and i understand that this isn’t what you were intending to say, but i don’t think saying essentially, “i’m glad i’m not trans because it must be miserable,” (not what you said word for word but y’know) is going to make any trans person feel respected or supported. you as a cis person will never understand how it feels, no matter how much you research or how many questions you ask, although that may help a bit. we as transgender people may have rougher lives contrast to cisgender people but, “it must be awful to feel like your body doesn’t match your brain,” comes off as saying we are inherently sad or how we are ‘so brave’ (if you get what i mean) this comment just feels like a mesh of a lack of understanding, poor wording, an indirect saviour complex, and slight dehumanization. which sounds like a bunch of insults but i really don’t know how else to describe it man. we are all learning but i encourage you to dig deeper into looking at trans people as basically just like you but with a different body and experience with gender and society, just like everyone else, cis or not, in a way more literal sense. if that makes sense. this is entirely based on the first half of your comment and i see the effort you put into understanding this topic and the open-mindness but this wasn’t the way to go at it. i’m short: *we don’t need a cis person telling us how unfortunate we are when they don’t even know half of what we experience personally on a* *_daily basis,_* cause we know, but we aren’t as completely devastated as you may think, at least not the experienced ones. *(desensitization)*

My brother and two of my cousins are trans and through them I know a lot of trans people so for a gay cis person I'm pretty familiar with the community. I did NOT say how unfortunate you all are and I didn't even come close to saying that any trans people are completely devastated, I have no idea where you got any of that by me simply saying that I'm glad I'm just gay and not trans because I see how hard it can be.

After multiple failed attempts to request for some basic empathy and education, my family still choose to remain ignorant under the guise of “you don’t know what’s good for you yet”. I always wished that SOMEONE could tell them the exact things OP said had I not later on learned that it didn’t matter if it was me or someone else, they just wouldn’t accept an opinion that’s not their own. I WISHED they could just think for even A SINGLE DAY about how repulsed I am every time I see my own body, the panic and loneliness I went through in puberty, the fact that I am hurting, and that maybe that it’s not my “choice” and I don’t have “all these issues because I’m incapable” but I may just be sheer. Fucking. Unlucky. They could’ve been the ones born with a body that doesn’t match their brain. They could’ve been the ones born in a family and society that doesn’t accept them. It could’ve easily been them, and had it been them they would’ve wanted love and support. But they don’t think that, because they don’t WANT to think about that. So maybe it’s because I have been too disappointed too many times, and thus my standards are at an absolute low, but I genuinely appreciate OP’s statement. At least SOMEONE thinks that way.

You're right that Christ would be compassionate to a trans person, but he would also offer transformation to that individual. Christ would not want someone to be trapped in the lie that he or she was born into the wrong body.
@@HamCubes It's hard to find a balance as a Christian between speaking truth and love. I don't want to hurt someone's feelings. At the same time, I don't want to affirm someone's distorted beliefs about identity. For example, if someone is born a male then God has a purpose for that person to be a male rather than a female. Transgenderism, gender dysphoria, and same sex attraction all result from the brokenness of the world that came about from the original sin in the Garden of Eden, but Christ came to bring restoration to His original design. In other words, Christ's love is unconditional in that He offers it to all people, but it is also transformational in that it heals our brokenness, which we are to set aside for his kingdom. I'm really glad that you agree! Much of society today is in opposition to the Bible, so it's nice to find people who are still following Biblical doctrine.
Because they see anything besides heterosexuality as a contagion, a virus. Non-infected people can’t give the virus to anyone, but infected people can spread it just by virtue of their existence. It’s a really gross “principle”.

Her kids might catch something from the trans person- they might catch how to be kind to people they don’t understand, they might catch tolerance of others, they might catch the notion that there is more than one way to happiness. I feel so sorry for her kids- they’re going to have years of work to repair this extremely traumatic childhood.
I've heard Ruby's salt comparison done with drinks and poison instead, essentially saying would you give your friend a drink that just had a tiny drop of poison in it? It comes from the thought that something "sinful" will contaminate everything. These kinds of people like to forget that the Bible says not only to love your neighbour as yourself but to love your enemies too. Is not allowing your children to spend time with some just because they are different loving? Is treating someone with scorn loving? Okay, so you don't agree with someone's "choices;" you can still treat them with basic human dignity and respect instead of ostracizing them
🙌 Thank you! I don’t agree that people are born in the wrong body. I think you are the gender you are born and can be any kind of man or woman you want. For example, you can be a man who wears skirts. You can be a woman who works construction. Yes, bad examples, I know, but the point is I think your gender is biological and should not be changed. That being said, I have no problem with trans individuals. Even if it is a “sin”, who the hell am I to judge? That’s between them and God, or their higher power. I sin. All the damn time. We all do. So, as a Christian, my stance is, I’ll start judging others for their sins when I have cleared up my sins and I’m perfect. (This excludes murder, rape, sins that harm other people. I think that’s an entirely different level of sin.)
oh man it was actually so refreshing to see someone standing up for trans people in situations like this- I don't know if ive just stumbled onto the wrong side of the internet or if there's actually been a big surge in transphobic content recently, but I cannot seem to get away from it and its been a real downer lmao. The support is greatly appreciated, at least on my end of the trans community! :D
Poor Ruby. SO SANCTIMONIOUS - is she still a Mormon?? Is it true that she has cut the whole family off? Does she feel that she is a preacher now! She doesn’t make much sense! Too bad she is obviously so very self righteous - it’s worrying how she treats her children - sounds like child abuse in several instances! She is such a poor example of any religion - how does the Mormon church feel about her trying to teach their doctrines over Utube - ( if what she preaches is Mormon doctrine?). I hope someone is watching her very carefully, what she puts her kiss thru - & takes action. I would think her children are NOT happy young ppl!
If her logic of children “rubbing off” of a trans person, than how come Im bisexual after being around heterosexual couples my entire life? It obviously doesn’t work like that, Ruby
My friend actually joined this Moms of Truth Facebook Page some weeks ago just to see what it's all about and boy, is it fuuucked up!! I watched a few of Ruby and Jody's videos on that page and it created an anger and rage inside of me that I didn't know existed.
She isn’t saying anythinggggg, principles of truth but ignore the context? You’re in control? What does control have to do with a question, balding, and respecting someone’s transition. None of this make any sense.
she’s says so much without saying anything- she’s literally talking out of her ass (Edit) Also how dare she make the person who asked this question think they should cut a family member out of their life because they’re trans. I really hope the person who asked didn’t follow her advice. Also crossing my fingers her children will grow up okay and feel safe regardless of how they identify and who they love.
Sidenote: it’s been scientifically proven the environment kids grow up in doesn’t affect who they will be when they grow up. The way they are as an adult depends on their own beliefs and their peers beliefs. So Ruby… explain to me how your child being around a trans family member will effect them?

Hey everyone who's here early (and you, Callum!). This family suck, the mother is a whole new type of evil and her parenting skills are in the minuses... Dreading seeing what they're up to now but I'll watch the video for you Callum :).
She’s gonna be so surprised when her children move out and never speak to her again. I haven’t spoken to my own “mother” in 7 years. I tried again to let her into my life because of my children. They now want nothing to do with her either. She will be online lamenting how the world has stolen her children and all of that “control” is keeping them from her. Or she will blame their partners. It will never be her own fault. It’s definitely not because she’s abusive. 😒

I find this behaviour so baffling - as a mother of an 11 year old who just came out to me, I can’t imagine having ever reacted with anything but love and acceptance. My child is who she is, and to not love her unconditionally seems impossible to me. Some people should not have kids!!!
I watched this twice and both times I couldn't figure out what the hell she was talking about. "You can't have control?" Yet she cried when she no longer had control of Sheri. I hate hypocrites.

That’s beyond sad.
Yep it’s a conversion camp and kids have died there

Ruby is an awful mother. When my teen came out as bisexual. Guess what I did? I got on the web, and decorated my house in celebration of who they are.
That’s what a REAL mother does. No one who sees their children as a paycheck, treats their children they way they do, is a real mother. Her children are going to resent the hell out of their parents.
my mom suspected I was bisexual after she searched my phone when I was 12 and she did not take it well at all. It's good to know there are supportive moms like you out there, your kid is very lucky :)
My parents did not care whatsoever 😂
Well… either approach works I suppose.

As a gay person i've always been thankful that i'm not trans, it must be awful to feel like your body doesn't match your brain. Why is it so hard to be empathetic to other people? You could have been born exactly like them. These parents are awful, i hope their kids manage to recover from their upbringing and i also hope they grow up and cut them out of their lives.
i don’t mean to come off as aggressive or a ‘perfectionist’ and i understand that this isn’t what you were intending to say, but i don’t think saying essentially, “i’m glad i’m not trans because it must be miserable,” (not what you said word for word but y’know) is going to make any trans person feel respected or supported. you as a cis person will never understand how it feels, no matter how much you research or how many questions you ask, although that may help a bit. we as transgender people may have rougher lives contrast to cisgender people but, “it must be awful to feel like your body doesn’t match your brain,” comes off as saying we are inherently sad or how we are ‘so brave’ (if you get what i mean)
this comment just feels like a mesh of a lack of understanding, poor wording, an indirect saviour complex, and slight dehumanization. which sounds like a bunch of insults but i really don’t know how else to describe it man.
we are all learning but i encourage you to dig deeper into looking at trans people as basically just like you but with a different body and experience with gender and society, just like everyone else, cis or not, in a way more literal sense. if that makes sense. this is entirely based on the first half of your comment and i see the effort you put into understanding this topic and the open-mindness but this wasn’t the way to go at it.

Great comment. This is like the most basic principle of Christianity... Just be kind and loving???
You're right that Christ would be compassionate to a trans person, but he would also offer transformation to that individual. Christ would not want someone to be trapped in the lie that he or she was born into the wrong body.
@@jacobgraf7284 I couldn't agree more!

She’s gonna be so surprised when her children move out and never speak to her again. I haven’t spoken to my own “mother” in 7 years. I tried again to let her into my life because of my children. I am actually so sick of people going after anyone different. I think Trans people need some compassion!!! Can you imagine not feeling ok in your own skin? Like you are in the wrong body? Trans people and others in LGBTQ+ community deserve to live their lives freely.
So if I get the rambling of the "in control" thing is that the only way to get to truth is that you need to just say whatever pops into your head uncaring about being understood properly. Even trying to process it still leaves a bit of a jumbled mess.
Yup, her new mental health cult that doesn't actually believe in mental health is basically just her spewing bigotry and child abused suggestions but with some funky words she will change the definition of depending on the situation
Jokes aside it really starts to get annoying how she keeps using the word "truth" where it doesn't make sense lol
Her whole video reminds me of the Twitch beggars apologies. They aren't really saying anything and they are taking forever to make a point because they don't know where exactly they're going with their sentences.
I consider myself an educated person, but I have no idea what she is talking about
Same.
Before her and I even entered that conversation I’d tell her to define principle..
My son is trans male if any of my relatives ever felt conflicted about it I would drop them like hot shit! They are the same person with the same personality they are in the wrong body I am so so proud of my son people like her are a disgrace with a lack of morals this mother angers me so much concentrate on being a better parent to your own kids she is abusive and controlling urge she makes me so mad!
