Ruby became RESPONSIBLE for FEEDING AND SHELTERING her children when she became a mom and she doesn't take those responsibilities very seriously so why should anyone listen to this crazy woman? Those are the most basic of needs for children and she can't quite pull it off.

@@MikeyD0 that’s not a given at all. I had a mother like this, and my upbringing has been more an obstacle to overcome than anything else. My grandparents’ influence was what kept me from completely imploding as a young adult, and I managed to get a degree and support myself. My siblings have not been as lucky, as she effectively cut them out of my grandparents’ lives. Now one has anger issues, has dropped out of community college, and has no conceivable means of supporting herself (and is about to be cut off). And the other has completely detached from reality, has destructive impulse control issues, and didn’t finish high school (and is also about to be completely cut off).
In addition to children learning consequences for bad behavior, they have to be given the space to be children/human. Children/humans are unable to be perfectly behaved at all times, and punishing them for forgetfulness, making mistakes, being unmotivated or uninterested in something they are forced to do, does so many levels of damage. Those kids may know how to survive within that household, but those survival skills will turn into crippling mental disorders in the real world, and I just hope they have the inner strength and presence of mind to seek help.

So because of that she assumes her values and the knowledge of her principles are universal. And that anyone who disagrees with her is lying to themselves or "not living in truth". Idk if that makes sense or not. The closest thing I can think of to compare it to is how little children say they'll draw a picture and when they go to show you they'll face it towards themselves instead of outward to you because they can't developmentally understand the concept of you as a separate being who can't see what they're looking at (I know there's a term for it I just Can't think of it). You have to know LDS lingo to understand. It's used all the time in the LDS Church. Standing for truth and righteousness. Truth being the meaning of Christian principles. Ten commandments. Abortion would be under the shell not kill.
Trans and homosexuals would be in there as sins as well.
Principles of standing for the right meaning biblical teachings. You also have to know the culture of the LDS church to know that many things are considered sins to them that are not for the rest of the world.
      Purity culture sexual sin.
Drinking alcohol swearing. Other Orthodox religions are very similar.
The holding of what they believe is truth and righteousness above other people's perspectives or teachings because it's biblical.

I understand making kids take responsibility for their actions and to teach them how to manage money but no kid should be left to starve until they're old enough to actually know how to budget (so maybe 16 or so plus, cause kids under than age know how to spend all their money on sweets and wont ever take into account actual essentials). Also, kids are growing, they need to eat a lot so you can't take away a meal at such a crucial meal.
Yes, you can say that your kid can pack their own lunch and everything but, even as an adult, you can have a second option (maybe ring a friend or someone to bring lunch in to work, or go away from your workplace to buy lunch out, etc).

The abortion comment actually infuriates me. I was raped by my eldest child's father during our relationship in my sleep while we were also actively trying to convince. I still WANTED her. I developed postpartum psychosis and attempted suicide 4 months postpartum due to my struggles accepting my situation. At 3 months postpartum I realized he had lie to me about what happened in my sleep and he actually assaulted me. When I told my mother and started to debate reporting him, she TOLD HIM and when he came to pick her up HE NEVER GAVE HER BACK. (It's been 10 months now.)
I have to share custody with my rapist. Not only that, but he's currently MAIN CUSTODIAL because of my postpartum psychosis and suicide attempt which I probably wouldn't have ever developed had I not been raped.
I've already decided if I were to ever be assaulted and conceived again, I'd have an abortion no questions asked.
I'm not going to destroy my mental health when I have a child to care for. I have to live for HER. I'm HER mother first.
There are very FEW states that prevent having to share custody with your rapist. This is unfair and disgusting to enforce on victims.
Anyone who hasn't become pregnant due to assault shouldn't even have an opinion.
I wanted my baby. I was lied to about being assaulted. I didn't know I was lied to until after we broke up. I reported my assault 3 months postpartum. The cops refuse to press charges because I waited so long and gave birth to his child. I'm still trying to save money to have an attorney file and take it to court but it'll cost me THOUSANDS. And in the meantime, he has my daughter and keeps her from me.
My case isn't unique at all. I'm in a noncustodial mom group for victims of assault. There's hundreds of us all across the United States. We all have a similar story. We were assaulted and even though we choose to keep our pregnancies, our mental health following our assaults were used against us to LOOSE custody.
Thankfully, my psychiatrist backs me up and while the custody case is still open she is doing everything in her power to show I'm healthy and stable enough to care for my child. Especially now that I'm pregnant with my second and I'm now at RISK loosing custody of this child BECAUSE of this custody case. Once you loose custody of ONE child as a mother, that's grounds enough in some states to take away ALL future children.
We punish victims when we force them to keep pregnancies. We punish victims when we don't set up resources for metal health. We punish victims when we take away their children for ptsd or postpartum disorders that are being actively treated. We punish victims when we force them to share custody with their abusers. We punish victims when we award primary custody to abusers.
This is real life, and it's sick.

I am very respectfully, and carefully asking, how would things be easier if you now had to live with the fact that you terminated your own child's life? You would not have known about the custody problems, PPD etc because you never experienced it because the child never was born. Instead, you would have to live with the knowledge that you killed your child because of a rape that the child had nothing to do with. The guilt from that can also drive you to depression. It seems (I could be wrong of course) that it would be better to aim the anger, hate etc at the real criminal, the rapist instead of putting some of it on you for ending an innocent child's life.

Also, why is she going on about lying and being deceiving when they are talking about someone trying to figure out their body (gender). smh

I saw the video and the dance. Very appropriate. The only lyrics used was the part all the kids sing. “Apple bottom jeans and the boots with the fur. The whole club looking at her. Shawty got low low low.” The teacher was so careful she even took out the word Damn from another song.

What happened to these folks for them to even imagine they know the “truth” and are qualified to serve up their twisted views as advise to other parents? If they focused as much on being good parents instead of giving advice and tackling the school board over a portion of a song, not the part he blundered through, then a song or any other conflicting ideals their children face while LIVING in the world as we know it wouldn't actually be a problem because they would have taught them right from wrong within their value system, given them the skills, knowledge, insight and principles to navigate through these types of difficulties themselves...... seriously there's just so many things wrong with these two it's honestly tragic 🥴

8Passangers mom is very much like as my mom would have been if social media existed when I was a kid... There is a valid reason why kids go no contact with parent when they become adults and this is it. Especially when parents do pray the gay away crap (I still have bad nightmares and PTSD). Absolute nightmare people. I have now been no contact with my mom for several years and i have ZERO regrets. This mother and her mentality is toxic. This is the best reason to never talk to toxic parents. May karma run her and her ilk over.

i wonder why no one has contacted CPS? as u can see in video's they doing child abuse by taking stuff away, dont give the lunch with her kid to school.
And they try to be mental coaches and thats real dangerous with people like that

    • @ameliawinchester1784
      @ameliawinchester1784 2 года назад +2

Child not having a bed is not considered child abuse by CPS unless the child is under 2, at least in the state of Texas. Also, missing ONE lunch isn't grounds for CPS in any state at all.
CPS is a joke anyways. My mother CHOKED my sister and left bruises. CPS did nothing and ruled out the case. My ex had CPS on her for neglect as she kept her child in her room all day ignoring her (we broke up because of this) and they did nothing yet again even though she admitted it.
CPS doesn't want to take away children anyways, that's not the goal. If the children aren't in IMMEDIATE danger they just put the parents through parenting classes. That's it. This is because studies have proven that even in unsavory circumstances, children thrive better with their parents than being rehomed. CPS number 1 goal is to keep the child in custody of the parents unless they're in immediate danger.

Iv tried to look for it online but I can’t find it! It makes what they did with her lunch even worse! I remember trying to find it again a couple of times over the last year with no luck! Don’t know if they changed the title, it got lost in the amount the post or it was deleted. But My brain has no reason to make this up! I remember her on her bed and ruby trying to make her speak about it! I even remember speaking to my partner (who also remembers) because I was put on hormone blockers as a child and spoke about how hormone medication can be bad!
