The fact you even gave pause to think about the world events and the possible connection to the subject matter of volume 3 is why I tune into your vids all the time. Keep doin what you're doin, love the content
I feel you bro this vol of punisher is really good but what’s going on in the world I don’t blame you for delaying reviewing issue 3 it was tough on me too.
Frank castle is one of my favorite marvel comics anti heroes.
I appreciate that you're senseitive to other's feelings in regards to content relating to real life. I feel it's part of the reason you're good at breaking these comics down.
I actually don't mind the retcon of Frank's past, if only because I find it unrealistic that a normal person would wage war on criminals the way Frank does. Something is quite broken with Frank and it was always broken.
Punisher knows what he's up when he face Ares. He fought Thor and the Avengers in an a limited series a few years back

There isn't really a version of the frog and scorpion story where Frank isn't the scorpion; every version ends with Frank standing over a pile of bodies and the phrase "...because I'm the Punisher, it's what I do."
Good stuff. Good shirt. Good point of view on everything kids with guns and kids with guns on top.
I dig this run a lot since it really doesn't try to make Frank out to be heroic in the slightest and paints him as a person who's always been sort of a psychopath... And I think that's best for him. He never should have been made into an anti-hero. Villain protagonist, maybe (but the Comic Code would never have allowed that), but he always should have been presented as a bad person, even when he's going against other bad people.
Anybody else think of Black Dynamite when Ernie spoke about the "ninjas" going at it? lol
@ 8:47 it was a "Ninja moment" like how they talk about a "Nigga moment" on The Boondocks. Ninjas just don't know how to act 😂
I like how they are trying to destigmatize the military and the police.
It feel weird. Though frank is disturbed as a comic character.
So riddle me this, why is it that Frank dissed the Hood's resurrection yet now he's ok with the Hand's resurrection of his family, SERIOUSLY?
Because his family was brought back by via blood sacrifice so he clearly didn't want to live with them being used as cattle since bush had to die for them to return

I feel like Frank has changed a bit in recent years, partially because of his last experiences with the supernatural. He's in a comfortable place where he has some understanding of the process. And he arrogantly thinks it is gonna work.

Me: You idiot, you doing the exact same mistake Daredevil did years ago with that same mindset, got posses by the beast, turns Hell’s Kitchen into a authoritarian state, beat the crap of his friends including powerhouses like Wolverine and ghost rider, shocked himself to regain control of his body and get back to be good. At this rate he’s going the exact same route with some changes.
I don't give a damn about Punisher, but I think it's stupid to constantly be changing these characters established origins. Spider-Man's powers didn't need a mystical origin, Thor's mother didn't need to be the Phoenix and so on and so forth. The characters are great as they are, just leave them be.
Thanks for keeping me in the know with comics. This is one of the reasons I stopped reading them. This really isn’t a good retcon. I’ll stick to Garth Ennis

@@brendaspence1824 Fine, Since the crowd had zero idea Frank was the one who lit the guy on fire, I'm gonna go on a limb and say no they wouldn't care. Even if they did see the black kid they'd still be too scared to do anything.
