The Punisher is such a well written character that I feel only having the Penance Stare would be enough with him. If you write the Punisher well enough he doesn't need a whole lot except prep time.
His power is called Eyes of the Beast its similar to the Penance Stare but its works differently
Punishers prep time is locking and loading and equipping explosives
I like him as a regular person. They should have made him more of a tactical powerhouse. These powers really change how he works, at the same time if he's training ninjas....
This run has honestly been really interesting and fun so far.
It has good connective roots to Frank's backstory with his idolization of Cap, and it isn't too far from Frank logic for him to make bad deals ( ex. MAX vietnam intro story) over-estimating his capacity of control over said deals.
Looking forward to him putting the old t-shirt back on, but people hating on this just because of the logo change are missing out.
I mostly hate it cause he doesn't use guns anymore

I enjoyed this Punisher storyline but now I am really curious to see how the Daredevil Punisher showdown is going to play out. Keep it coming Blerd.
Im curious if it will even happen or if it happened in the past. It seems like this storyline is drawing to a close and we already know frank isnt going to kill either of the daredevils.
You forgot Cosmic Ghost Rider, which was future Frank Castle merged wit the spirit of vengeance and turned into a herald of galactus, probably his strongest iteration
He's no longer the Punisher. Frank never would have joined the Hand as they are criminals.

Daredevil was a member of The Hand and he was then and is now still Daredevil.
Will this be permanent or just temporary? The punisher with superhuman powers is a scary thought ,but I like it.

This is very good writing. Reminds me of Conan stuff. To have the God Ares or Mars or other war gods tinker with Frank is just a great move. It makes so much sense because there is a code of warriors. Lots of potential for more stories along these lines.

To begin with, I absolutely love your review, and I had to subscribe! It was very well done and very thought provoking. Now I do have a question which I've asked this time and time again; who is the voice that was speaking to Frank in Punisher Born? I vaguely recall seeing Mr. Ennis say something along the lines of him accepting a darker version of himself as opposed to the voice being that of some dark entity, but given the banter we've seen between Ares and the Archpriestess, is it remotely possible that the voice could have been that of Ares, the Beast or even Mephisto? Just my thoughts.
The Hand does remind me of Wolverine. I miss The Hand Ninja Clan. The writing is so good because one wonders how much spec ops dabbles in the occult, like skull and bones and stuff.

I've been thinking. With Logan encountering The Beast during the lead up to 10 of Swords and then Daredevil, Stik, and Elecktra planning to go after after The Hand, I wouldn't be surprised if We got a new version of The Defenders with Wolverine, Electra, Daredevil, and eventually The Punisher.
