Jus grabbed a 2001 century. Heater core is clogged. Guess what I'm doin next weekend. Definitely tuning in for more...gotta keep her maintained. Thanks.
I had to replace the hose that run to my heater core. I need to know where the top and bottom hose run back to on the engine. I forgot to take a picture before I took them off.
Hello sir, can you help me with advice my truck is leaking coolant under sleeper when I shut off truck.... When is idling i don't have coolant drops on ground.... everything is fine when engine is on, when is off immediately starts dropping coolant under sleeper through small black rubber hose under sleeper.... Should I change heater core in my sleeper? Or how to stop it for couple days until I get home to see my mechanic Its Freightliner Columbia d60 glider kit 2018.....thanks in advance
What if mine is not leaking coolant but for some reason the front does not blow heat but I have very good heat in my bunk area. Would that be the Heater Core?
My heater in 08 century tends to work only when am driving which recently starts happening. Not sure if its because my ac condenser need to fix, what would u recommend looked at
If you don’t have heat when you’re sitting still, you probably have a blown head gasket, dropped liner, or bad water pump. The likely only reason you have heat when you’re moving is because of higher rpm than when you’re sitting still.
I’ve a problem with my Freightliner Columbia 2007. When I turn on heat, the gouge drops below 150 if I turn off the hear the gouge goes up 175. When I’m driving the gouge drops to in between 150 and 175. When the gouge is 175 if I turn on the heat I’m getting heat but in 20 minutes the gouge drops to 125 and no heat I’m getting cold air. I’ve changed the thermostat bur nothing change. So I’ve watched this video now so can problem be a heater core?
Subscribed good brother. Following, podcast and all. I'm an old KR tribe member so I know all the upgrades and mods your running. I'm actually having a hard time installing my OPS filter on my 07 mbe4000 engine. Got the truck for cheap. Very little rust. Share part numbers in the description if you would, that would be great, I paid $134 at the dealership for my heater core... I'm fixing to return it, since it's here in my town.
also on another subject....The AC compressor froze up and burned off the serpentine belts on my 2004, 2005, & both 2006 models so I short belted them. Wondering if I take the AC compressor off, take it apart and free up the pulley...can I just let it run like that without the cooling capabilities so that I can use a serpentine belt again. I'm just so tired of taking them to Freightliner every 2-3 years for compressor going bad....it gets expensive.
The difference between dual and super singles is with a flat or blowout you can limp a truck to a repair shop. A Super Single will put you on the shoulder waiting for a tire truck to come to you. That’s costs a lot more money than limping to a shop. Driving wise there is no difference.
Thank you, 2024 and shop prices are crazy. Sharing your knowledge help save me some money to do it myself.
Thanks so much for sharing this heater core replacement! It gave us a better idea and saved us a lot of unnecessary disassembly! Many thanks! 👍

There was something you said ,or was it Mr Long ; what does the EGT say about how the engine is running, I have an scan gauge.
More than that. I have the same truck and my truck have same problem right.

Thanks for the info 👍
Great video! would it also be a good while you are in there to replace the heater fan...depending on the miles?
Now I see why it’s so expensive to replace. That’s a lot of work and headache. But it’s reasonable for a O/O to replace.
Thanks Larry
Thanks I need to do mine and this is gonna help..
Can you do a video on how too replace the dashboard gage lights, some of my lights are out? Pls

Curious about the ops.. did you completely bypass you standard oil filters? You only mentioned replacing the ops every 25k miles.
No. The factory filters stay and are changed every 50,000 miles. We have an entire episode about the OPS. ruclips.net/video/3Yc4v6K07yw/видео.html
@@BlueRibbonLogistics thanks for quick response. Will watch linked video. I didn't see it under your profile. Thanks again

Switch to a Sanden style ac compressor, it’s a plug and play conversion.
Great video. Did you have to drain the antifreeze first or just shut off the valves? Thank you
Just the shut off valves.

Let a road pirate catch you "limping to a shop"

That fleet air filter is complete junk, the dust can break through and will trash your engine, complete junk!!! To much risk!!!!
