    the best hint i got from this video, is the one with the market stall.. i can't stress enough how much i was angry at my workers who left their stalls abandoned.. or not doing their jobs properly too!
    so thank you for that

    • @infomolerat
      @infomolerat Месяц назад +1

      You can reassign the worker directly too. Sometimes they keep the stall sometimes they don't. Idk why

    • @Tiger4ever89
      @Tiger4ever89 Месяц назад +1

      @@infomolerat i think i found a better way to deal with that..
      I keep forgetting they are a family.. so even if they work as a wood cutting or logging camp.. the wife can sell in the market.. while the husband keep working in that area
      When you have bigger population, the job market "stalls" are for the granary workers and storage.. but until then.. you can just invest into granary first... since hunting and gathering berries are far away

    • @infomolerat
      @infomolerat Месяц назад +1

      @@Tiger4ever89 yes that's true I forget they are a family and not all family members carry an ax, actually, I have seen women running around with an ax, I hope they are woodcutting, but I am just imagining them running all across map to work the stalls.
      My latest run I have been obsessed with the granary workers and storehouse workers running all the stalls but this had led to what I believe is an unhealthy number of granary and storehouse workers, feels so inefficient to have 13 storehouse families and 10 granary families in a 60 family town. Most are just waiting around.
      So my next thought is how much can a market stall hold and can I limit the market stalls to their minimum needed numbers so as not to spam a bunch of stalls carrying one or two meat and berries? I think so, as one can carry 50 items. One stall should be enough to cover firewood and charcoal for 25 plots easy, clothes may need one for each level of clothing, and food is the real question.? Theoretically, two food stalls can handle 4 varieties for 25 plots.if that works I can have only 5 stall workers for a 25 plot 60 fam town and would free up 17 families to work on something productive.
      Question is, how many do I still need to employ in the granary and storehouse? How do I limit new stalls from forming? I think I can limit marketplace space. Could be a big boost...

    • @Tiger4ever89
      @Tiger4ever89 Месяц назад

      @@infomolerat that's a very good question
      what i like to do from time to time.. is reset the market stalls altogher
      the game for some reason.. doesn't recognize new houses that can be maintained from the same stalls.. so even if u have bunch of stalls.. and Granary and Storehouse workers.. you can still get the insufficient for the latest houses
      i like unemploy everyone right after my latest house is complete.. delete the market altogether.. and add them back up.. this way they will try to re-fill every single house
      one thing to keep in mind, don't over upgrade your houses, unless you really need to do so.. they will demand more and you cannot keep up with their demands.. i like to build like 5 houses each time.. and upgrade one by one slowly.. never all at once

    • @infomolerat
      @infomolerat Месяц назад

      @Tiger4ever89 yeah I do a bit of a reset too, but it was for a different reason, my trade markets were bricked, full of stall workers. So I fire and rehire families and it frees up the traders. I think the real fix might be limiting market stalls altogether. 50 items is a lot. They should be full. Not everyone and their mother needs to have a stall. I like the one stall marketplace that way I can control the number of stalls and it is easier to control their owner in a 130 family town.
      Looks like with food being prioritised we could try and get some stalls that are full of high tier goods and they stay full. The trick is how many granary workers does it take to stock the food for 100 families? That's 1 food a month per fam. Can 6 families stock 4 food per day? Seems like that should be more than enough. Just 4 fams could stock one each a day for a total of 4 a day we are good.
      Depends where those workers are doing I suppose. Maybe tending to Gardens or chickens or traipsing off to grab meat from camps. Now I think I see the value of a burgage with no extention. Those guys just do their jobs. I used to think they were worthless but now I am thinking I should have 8 families for the stockhouse and 8 for the granary all in non extention homes. Extentions are soo efficient tho. But at what cost?

    I believe the trading post only needs someone there if you're selling. That's what I've seen.
    King's road access allows you to not have to buy certain trade routes. During your initial start and having little too no cash means you can still sell things like planks to the guys who just walk the king's road and they will stop and buy your stuff. No investment.
    As for purchasing providing faster trading; idk. I waited over a month for 5 routes I paid for with zero deliveries. lol I know how long it was bc I was waiting for military supplies to fight the AI and the battle timer was clicking the days away. 🤣

Its really important to give the community time to adjust to your orders. Like, dont go out and build a hitching post and expect all of your plank needs to be instantly resolved. This is especially true for reaching a market equalibrium with food distribution.

      But on a start I did today I made 3 double occupied plots with a veggie garden and by year 3, I had 175+ veggies. That's stock after being distributed.
      Now, year 2 you will get veggies that are plenty to satisfy your food needs but not over 100+ in available stock. By beginning of year 4 I had 46 months worth of stored food for my village.

    What's the deal behind insisting the granary and Storage workers run the market stalls?
    My guess is they can sell the entire stack of the same good, vs all the little, say 10 chicken farm people selling their one or two eggs per day, times 10 people taking up 10 stalls for eggs?
    Is it that? Or what exactly?
    So on your 2 and 3 hour edited videos you spent all that time (and edited it out) of finding the wrong workers and firing them out of stalls to get just the granary and storage hut people selling?
