We were there from the 21st-24th and basically did the same as you. Caught a bunch of eating size channels. didn't get any of the better blues until saturday evening around sunset. started catching them in the 6-9lbs range. Ended up with 92 for the 3 days, which wasn't too bad between the storms and tornado warnings. LOL!

It depends. There are certain times of the year especially when the catfish are feeding on mussels heavily that small pieces of cutbait work best. It's always good to run a mixture. Small pieces, chunks and live bait
