ᴴᴰ R160 (A) and (C) Train Action in June 2020
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 июн 2020
- A recent incident involving two R179 cars separating prompted the MTA to sideline the entire fleet for inspections and safety re-certification. Because of this, several trains made of R160 cars were sent from Jamaica and East New York Yards to fill service on the (A) and (C) lines, respectively. This is the first time the (A) line has regularly used R160 cars in over a decade and it is quite a blast from the past! The (A) was one of the first lines to use the R160 pilot cars during their 30-day testing period before they were moved over to the (N) line for regular service.

The greatest thing to see in history a R160A/B A train 👏🏾🙏🏾
No hesitation during the announcements. Perfect
R160’s look very natural on the A train!!
Matthew Adonis Yeah since the R160’s were originally ment for the (A).
Maybe They Should Keep The R160 A And C Trains And The R179 A And C Trains
JELS AKATHEKID that would be a great idea and include the R46 too. But isn’t the C line 100% R46 now.
@Dperez0983 not anymore the r46 are rare on the C now
R160 (C) takes us back to 2013-2019
That was fun to see! Looking forward to more collabs in the future!
Same here!
@@TechandTransit east new york should keep 1 r160 for the C and 1 for the A
Cause I miss r160s on the C
@@TechandTransit The R160 in my opinion is more reliable than the R179. The R179 had issues with the doors earlier this year and as a result, the R42 had to be put back into service. Now the R179 has problems with the couplers and now the R32 trains have to fill in for them.
@@mtanyctfan8100 I agree. The MTA should have probably consider that.
The R160 trains are better than the R179 because they do not break down that much.
R160 Announcement s on the A is perfect!
0:21 SIEMENS!!!! THE KING OF R160s, lol
Just imagine a CUOMOFIED R160 A
TrainTechnology 21StGlobe seen a few
@@Bknyx factssssss
The stations are clean now lol. Now it's "world class"
This is what it should have been after the R160s were delivered, both the A C E having R160s.
OMG A DREAM COME TRUE! Siemens on the (A)
R160A-1 (C) Train, And R160A-2/B (A) Train Is Awesome.
Well R160 are common in the A since the R179's were taken for work
R160 Siemens A train 🤤😍 too bad it’s going away
At least there more R179 on the A line now than before
The MTA should honestly inspect more than just the couplers, they should inspect everything with the train otherwise there is going to be another problem that will force them out of service again. They should also fix the programs as well. I hate how on the R179, whenever it says, "... The next stop is:" its always delayed and defaulted to 1 voice instead of the voice of the line. Although, even with the MTA taking their time to check every train, they still should make sure everything else is working properly, too. Hell, if they don't they might as well order more R211 because of this.
The r211s are here however the R211s are in the yard
@@leecornwell1062 You mean 207th St Yard? If that was the case, I probably would've know if they were or not.
I love seeing the trains go by it's satisfied
I wonder if Bombardier is merging with Alstom, will Bombardier exist under Alstom or get absorbed by the company?
The A train and J train get every model of a train they are spoiled then there side kicks Z and C trains share the spoiled gifts wit them
I hope they'll be happening when the R-211s come.
I have heard that the R211s will not go to Jamaica Yard and that the base order will be assigned to the A/C lines, but depending on what the MTA does with the option order R211s (they will likely go to the Concourse and CI yards), some R211s might end up in Jamaica Yard and we might end up seeing R160s on the A or C line (or both).
Tech and transit can I use these clips to upload on my channel I will give you and other a shoutout when I do
Wow! This is like the first time in New York Subway history where there’s a couple of R160s on the A. It’s definitely a shame to see the R160s no longer assigned to the Q line
A few R160Bs are assigned to Coney Island (N, Q, W)
Is the Q line almost 100% R46 now.
Daniel Perez definitely so. In fact the Q line is 100% R46
Will TheVideoMaker thank you for the update.
Looks good. Also, R160s from Coney Island Yard were used as well: 8938-42, 8978-82, 8993-7, 9003-7 (Siemens units)
The siemens pays a visit to the (A) line!
R160 is good on the A and C Lines
For some reason they are only appearing on the A now. The C only full with R46 as of now.
Why 8 cars run on the C line instead of 10 cars?
Lower ridership and lack of train cars (also, current and future demand does not see the trains getting lengthened), though there may be full length trains with the R211 order.
I agree with you.
How long will the R160s be on the A and C Lines
FunDerekHero6 if you mean how long will they be on the A well it will be until they get the R179 fixed.
Cool R160s
At 3:28 why was it terminating at 168th street
They were so superior on the A and C
R160 C Train Is Back And R160 A Train Is Back From Car 8713-8722 In 2006
Is it just me or does the train in the first shot sound like an Alstom/Siemens mix?
R160 (C) Is (C)ool…
*But R160 (A) Is Much More (A)wesome!*
They ran on C what
R160A A train. Hahaha! Get it? R160A A train? Hahaha!
Nice R160 on the A and C train but not a fan to see R160 Siemens on the A line Jamaica Yard has too many Alstom version they should have gave most away
Cool!
NOICEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Will any R32s be going to the "A" and "C" at all?
Nope, only the J and Z trains.
A and C train service is using spare cars from other lines.
The z train is coming back next week and will have r42s.
@@VictorFernandezBigdestroyer YES!
@@alexthemtaandr211weatherfa2 R42s?
R179 Coming Soon
I knew from day 1 that the R179s were shit since the day they tested
This is why I will be avoiding the A/C until the R179's return from now on.
Why?
Those trains might get scrapped if they keep breaking down
Good luck with that because the A and C may actually the only option.
Plus, what what I’m hearing, this won’t take long.
R160 is better than bombardier lemonade r179.
@@darrylreedy5079 no they wont mta doesnt have enough old trains to replace the r179's in the long run
I’m okay with R160 (C)
But I’m not okay with R160 (A)
Why?
Matthew Adonis *Because the R46s on the A line is my forever favorite; Always will be. But the R160 & R179, nah.*
Makai Hassan Rhamdas word I don’t like the R179’s that much I like the R160’s 100% more
I like the R160B's and mixed consist on the A
