Will the drunken granny stitch help me in saving yarn? Or is there another stitch pattern I can use to save yarn without a lot of holes that I can use for making a blanket? Thanks, Emi!!!
Hi there JW,
Drunken Granny stitch is pretty good for not having many holes. And it does work up rather quickly.
Double crochet stitches will use the least amount of yarn
so here is one of my videos where it is all dc stitches, and
rhen pops of color added by pulling a chain cord, or even
several strands of yarn through evenly skipped rows.

As soon as I saw this sample I thought of the brick stitch.
So funny how you have to put the caveat in your explanation that you didn't name the stitch because there will always be that one person who calls it out 🙄. Personally I don't drink, but I also wouldn't be offended by the name. So many more things to be concerned about in life. I think this is a beautiful stitch and thanks for the tutorial!
