This friendship convo let's me know why Mal isn't married or in a relationship. Conflict happens, seems like he doesn't want to face conflict after he's been hurt. When you value the friendship you'll go through conflict and create those boundaries. I hope him and the lady at least have the conversation cause it's bothering him, he's scared to open up to her again cause she hurt him. Resolution is needed.

I agree with Rory, when you’ve been friends with someone a long time, people start to feel safe enough to not always be their best. Often times that happens when you actually need them To be at their best. This is often a problem in friendships but forgiveness would definitely be the proper thing to do in this type of instance. Mal in a way has a point because if you know you can’t really forgive her, it’s not fair to invite her back in that space, but also it’s a sign of maturity to work through problems with people who are as valuable as you think or say they are. It is def a tough situation.
