Is it too much to ask for a fashion video where you show off some of your wardrobe and or tell us where you usually get your clothes? I seriously love your style and everything you wear lol!!
Good morning from Alaska. It’s still like a late winter but I enjoyed birds chirping this early morning and enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. I love your mentor time talking about sketches and stuffs. That’s so awesome! Can’t wait to see when you are done crocheting. ^^
hahaha i was chuckling when u sat down with ur new yarn bag!!! ALL THE NEW YARNS are so gorgeousssss and so excited to see how those lil clay guys fire!!!
My week was rough, but I kept seeing the premier waiting for me. Knew that I would have the chance to sit and decompress with you soon. Thank you for that!
An alternative to the pottery board you're making is just a plain 1/2" MDF board. It keeps clay from sticking and is easy to clean and wipe down. Over time mine will need to be replaced but thats a ways down the road. I worry about canvas and clay because the clay sticks in the canvas and then dries which worries me because of the risk of silicosis.
@@palomathepeach its basically a wood material, it will be much easier to wipe clean than canvas. Canvas can hold on to a lot of clay dust, and since you're doing pottery at home it's good to be extra careful! (I used to do pottery at home and was always paranoid about clay dust 😅)
You cant have long contact with water as it's raw wood and will swell but if that happens you can just sand it flat again! It's what I use as my workbench surface and works so well for wedging and handbuilding alike!
Loving your very colourful experiments 💗 Also I have that checkerboard dress you have! Super calming vlog. I'm quite poorly atm so it felt calming to watch 😊
Paloma I just recently found you (💎) 🥰🥰 I’m obsessed! ❤ I love watching your videos, mellowing down with your energy and just sitting back with a cup of coffee, tea, or just taking a nap while I listen to your voice or the music to your videos! You are a whole vibe child!!🤩🤩💕 I’m a subscriber for life!🤗 You’re so talented I can’t stress that enough! Keep it up 😍👍🏻 your work is stunning!! 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
Do you prefer a particular process in ceramics? Or does it just depend on how you feel at the time? I love all of it but I really enjoy hand-building items in clay but sometimes glazing can feel less inspiring. I need to be in the right headspace to glaze fiddly stuff too.
i love it all too! and it def depends on how i’m feeling. throwing on a wheel is super grounding and meditative so i do that when i kinda wanna turn my brain off in a way? and then hand building is all about finding character in the lumpiness so i go for it when i feel more creative :)
@@palomathepeach Haha, that’s a good way of putting it, ‘finding the character in the lumpiness’. I like that. I agree about throwing, it’s very grounding; sometimes I find it easier to not watch the clay as I throw, just rely upon touch. There’s definitely something a bit primitive about it too. People have been making pots and the like for thousands of years, it’s like being a kid again too, making mud pies. Working with clay definitely transports me to another deeper place. I do really love it. Plus it’s just fun being able to make whatever the heck you want 😂
I have a closet full of yarn that I absolutely had to have. So much yarn. I have cut myself off from buying anymore until I use what I have, which will probably take years. I think I have a problem. :D
Love your vibes as usual!! Do you know the brand name or where you got that neon orange/pink red yarn? (My friend loves that color and I need an excuse to start crocheting) 😅❤
i’ve always wedged on canvas! in school and at the current studio i go to. i’ve been told that wedging on anything else can result in stuff getting into your clay or clay sticking to the surface
Hello Hello Paloma! loved seeing clem and salem in the vlog (missed them a bit) and i hope that oli is doing well too, relaxing vlog as usual and dont worry i also break my own promises of "do not buy" anymore art supplies xP
Just saw your how to make money with art online video and wanted to say you are awesome. You seem so friendly and nice when you speak. It is easy to understand the ideas that you are trying to convey. I've been looking for something to show my son to rekindle his interest in art as a career and, honestly, most of the videos I have found have not been as "organic" as yours. My son is talented and creative but has lost his motivation. To make a long story short I just wanted to thank you for being here and for having such a pleasant attitude. I haven't seen much of your art but I'm going to watch a few more of your videos and send some of the links to my son. Are there any you can suggest for the disillusioned artist? Maybe someone who has lost their hunger for creativity? Sincerely, -Dad (Jason LOL)
thank you so much for your kind words :') i find that art is usually very personal to us. i think that it is often directly in relation to our current state of mind, things happening in our lives and how nourished we are mentally and physically. so when there is absolutely no hunger for creating i actually tend to completely step away for a bit and do a quick check to see if there's something outside of my art that i need to address. am i in a comfortable and safe environment? have i been eating enough nourishing meals? am i hydrated? when was the last time i socialized? do i need to go for a walk to get my body moving? if there's nothing going on in any of those departments, then that's when i look for inspiration. books, other art, movies etc. these things fill our creative cup and motivate us to create!! i hope this made sense, all in and all its about investing in ourselves (and of course practice a ton!!) i recommend he find the things he loves in life and translate that into his work :)

I'm watching this on mute now because I'm at work but I'll rewatch this later. Can't join live chat.
This styled like eras we grew up in is really strange. Like people telling our stories.
