Hi Tom. Maybe you left out a rule. I only played it twice because it is not my cup of tea, but I seem to remember that ressources left on your worker's exploitations are worth negative points just like ressources not needed. This is a rule I found interesting because it forces you to think twice before putting out a worker for a few quick points. :)
It actually reminds me a little of Catan vaguely in that you might find yourself a bit screwed if you start building a plot of land and find you're just not able to access the resources you need... Really beautiful though and looks like a nice gateway style game 🙂 Thanks for the review!
I'm keenly aware of it; I even call them "Vaselisms." It was just so unexpected a word to hear mispronounced given that one of the words in 4X games is "exploit." One would expect "exploitation" to be part of Tom's natural vocabulary.
Not sure why you feel the need to call it a train game. Why not find the general concept that you mean instead? Something like network building I would guess.

very late here XD,,yup more like catan
This sounds great! Via Nebula is like Caverna meets Brass with a Jamaica box insert. (…and in half the playtime)
I have yet to play it with more than 2 people, but it's one of my wife's favorite games.
"Exploition tiles" XD
Is that a neologism created just for the game? Or is Tom trying to say the word "exploitation" and failing miserably?
I assumed the latter, Tom does it with a lot of words and just keeps going most of the time, it's quite amusing.

The Dice Tower guys can never remember what the 4 "X"es stand for, most of the time they only get to 3.
Ewan Jones yeah. File it under Vaselisms along with pronouncing "versus" as "verse".
What does "exploition" mean?
I assume he means "exploitation". Mispronunciation is Tom's signature move.
It refers to a "ploy" that is rather powerful and destructive: an exploition.
It's "exploitation" according to the rules. Add it to the list of oddly pronounced words, like mini-un (minion).
At first I heard, or thought I heard "exploration"... but then...
lmao!!!.....
Is there a system to how your games are stored on the shelves?
By number of components
looks ok! maybe the gameplay is even better than it looks. I'm thinking compared with games like blood rage, its not as stand out in visual
I want this.

I'm getting a bit of a "Belfort" vibe from this game.
Whats wrong with Martin Wallace?
Nothing. The best designer out there
+Omer Hertz subjective.
Well, yes, obviously. I don't presume to speak for the entire humankind, if that needed saying...
+Omer Hertz I just think Wallace is massively overrated. Imo, so many better designers out there.
Oh, a new Martin Wallace game :D
Hard pass.
so funny you had to say it twice I see.
Looks like a perfectly fine game.
I actually like the lighter games he pushes out these days.
And this one looks beautiful as well.
Normally that would be my sentiment as well but this looks fantastic to me.
