I would just like to say thank you to Tom and the entire team. Everyone is special in bringing this content to us, but Tom is incredible. I feel like if he had a billion dollars this is what he would be doing. He's a legend and a treasure. Thank you Mr. Vasel.
I know its been a great year for games, and all your picks are quality. But I honestly thought Leviathan Wilds would make it to at least top 20. I wonder if the second reprint with the updated rulebook and extras will bring it up for you. Regardless, wasn't expecting this vid and very glad you made it! Waiting for the Cosmere ranking still!
We love Kronologic. Looking forward for the sequels. I need to look into Spectral, deduction tends to be a hit or miss for me but this sounds like it has potential.
Thanks for all the great content over the holidays! As an aside, I enjoy the dragon theme in Wyrmspan (I like the bird theme slightly better), but it’s weird to me that it’s universally accepted amongst content creators that Wyrmspan is mechanically better. I couldn’t disagree more. I didn’t like any of the changes they made in the follow-up. They exchanged the randomness of the bird feeder with the randomness of the cave cards, and made a game that was less snappy, has more downtime, and feels even less interactive. Worst of all is the unequal amount of action points. I’ve been in a game where one player only has the standard 6 for the round, another player has 8, another player has 9 and another player has 12. As the players with extra actions take their actions and resolve their tableaus, the player with 6 goes half an hour between turns. No fun. The set amount of decreasing actions in Wingspan was much better.
Hold on. How does LOTR Duel manage to be so much better than 7 Wonders Duel, which I agree, but doesn't crack your Top Ten when 7 Wonders Duel was your #8 the year that it came out?

Harrow County is so good. I love it so much

Wasn't this posted in 2024? I've definitely seen this video before today....
It was part of Winter Spectacular, part of a larger program. They put out the individual videos after the holidays.
@@DanGrossDrums That makes sense! Thanks :)

I found Wyrmspan to be very unbalanced. I wasn't a fan.

Maybe there is just a lot more games (at least 10) that Tom preferred this year.
I mean, it’s got to be that, right?
It is!
