Like the woman that had severe complications has, if it is accidentally injected into the bloodstream, it can cause systemic paralysis and even death due to respiratory failure (not being able to breathe using respiratory muscles).
The poison is always in the dose. You would need a lot of Botox to cause that to occur or to take in in airborne/orally. The cases where this has happened was for non regular botox areas like the legs, esophagus or spasticity when people need 100-300 units injected in many vascular sites a couple days apart which elevated the risk of getting into the bloodstream. This is not anywhere near the standard facial application. which range from 10-80 units per session with careful application ever 3-6 months
Even "successful" botox looks like utter trash to me. Let alone how many botches there are every year. I will *_never_* understand why people get it done, honestly.

*ESTHETICIAN here of almost 20 years.... I can honestly tell you that there is no device that will snatch your face like whatever vibrator she was using with an LED light. I can also tell you that giving an injection of Botox in the wrong spot where these poor people's eyes are literally drooping, that is not normal. That is a sign of somebody that is completely unprofessional and worries me very much so how they got their degree and license. I tried to tell people before they go and get work done that if they are positive and that they have thought this through, then okay. But if it's somebody where I can tell that they're very hesitant, it is best not to do it but to let them think on it for a little longer to see if it's something that they really do want. This ruins your skin, it ruins your last to see and to be very blunt, you will never look the same again and your skin will never be the same again. Aging is a luxury and it's a privilege, lines like smile lines don't make you old. And that is what so many people are focusing on. I was bedridden/housebound, for a near decade, from 26-34(ish) - where I lost a lot of muscle mass. And because of how bad my environment was, also - where it’s as if I didn’t use many of my face muscles, to do things, such as smile and laugh - my face muscles became weak, and I looked so deflated and tired; as well as had dark circles, under my eyes. I had horrible skin issues, from liver disease, though, thankfully - much of that has healed, quite well, with minimally noticeable scarring, though, I do have skin fibrosis from excessive exposure to barium contrast, in CT scans. So, even though I have always been very weary of fillers and Botox (yet, my mother gets it done a few times a year) - knowing I have fibrosis, I’m not sure how something like that would be affected. I was thinking cheek implants may help, though, that would be quite some time before I could afford something, such as that. I, recently, also, started physical therapy to begin rehabilitating my body, from muscle and skeleton issues - I thought “If I can strengthen my body muscles - why not my face muscles?” So, I looked into it - and began “face yoga.” It’s been just about two weeks, now. And goodness gracious, I just looked in the mirror, even after sleeping a few hours, when I am the most deflated looking - and my face is noticeably more lifted and full; where even a patch of fine lines, from where I had slept so much, while ill, is nearly entirely gone. And I have only used retinol twice, now, (which, I had diluted with moisturizer) which, was only this week - so, I know the results I am seeing are from my efforts in strengthening my face muscles. I’ve always had very deep forehead wrinkles - being I have had life-long Cushing’s Syndrome (excessive exposure to cortisol; high estrogen, low progesterone), and grew up in a very volatile household, so, my eyebrows were always anxiously raised. I had my cosmetology instructor make a comment about ‘em - when I was freakin’ 19. Even those lines seem to be softening, thanks to the facial exercises, I’ve been doing. And that’s super helpful, also, being I have very heavy hooded eyes, and am sensitive to bright lights - so, I squint and hold a lot of tension, in my forehead. I feel like I belong in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, sometimes - and I wouldn’t even need to do the vampire SPFX make-up. I’m only sharing all this, because so often we hear the only way to solve the issues, such as what I have dealt with - are through fillers, Botox, beauty/skincare products/professional procedures, and plastic surgery. Though, that is not true, in the slightest. I always wonder how many people even realize this, and choose the aforementioned options because they are lazy - or because they, truly, have zero clue, what is possible with a few minutes a day, of facial exercises? I mean, it takes less time than going and getting it done - and is free, compared to several hundred dollars, every few months. Either way, if I have gotten these amazing results, in only two weeks - I am so excited to see what things will look like in a month, 6 months, and a year. EDIT: Also, increasing my water uptake has been noticeably beneficial, as well.

OMG MY AD WAS FOR BOTOX 😂😂 I have had Botox for migraines before. You get 30 to 40 Botox injections in your face, scalp, and neck. It's not much in each but it's in a lot of places. It did not help mine, it made them worse. I really didn't want to even try but it was a last resort. Luckily it went ok. It's scary how many people are "certified" to do this.
