Thank you for listening!
David Kuckhermann
This is how it should be in the world. Here are two people from different cultures and background just jamming away together. MUSIC is universal language! No hate, No worries only love, peace and lots of music.
@@michaelhull1813 where the are you drawing that from, you psychotic fuck? what's so pristine about western values?
I am an Iranian frame drum player and I find this style of playing the Daf very interesting. Beautiful guys.
Revisiting this video after 14 years!! Still so amazed by it
Writing from Japan.
iAhmad Al Khatib and David Kuckhermann,
You are my hero!
wow... 12 years later and this is still as brilliant!
I like to think of comments which add something, maybe a different perspective, maybe some witty remark, occasionally a few disagreements...
I've come to value the few videos which don't require any comment, I'm only posting this to express my admiration.
What an AMAZING mastery & musicianship.Blows my mind each time I listen to it.
Guys, you are amazing, but am so proud that i had the chance to be at the same school with Ahmad back in 1995, god bless
Really very nice, very beautiful feelings, excellent technique in the left and right hands. very nice ensemble.
Ahmad Al-Jawadi
My favourite impro in the world
I guess I am the only one still lurking around the amazingness of this particular recording
I'm here for the first time
No you are not! I've been coming back here again and again for 8 years now! This is so Amazing!!!
@@pooyanshateri4000 happy to hear that we are a few tasteful bunch. Salam!
my name is Sunny and that was so insparational watching David Kuckhermanns hands and finger technicks.Wow!!!
This is just amazing, you integrate so well, and David's mastery of the frame continues to be my biggest beacon of inspiration.
Very wonderful! These two master musicians compliment each other perfectly. America needs to see less of the war and religious strife from the middle east and MORE of this kind of thing. Their is so much beautiful culture for us to share. I'm a very amateur percussionist and David is my hero! This makes me want to learn a melody instrument also.
Thank you for posting this!
Wunder-wunderschönes Zusammenspiel! Ich könnte Euch tagelang so zuhören.
David Kuckhermann is my hero! Awesome oud too.
i kept on rewinding the part at 3:58 when you snorted in response to what the oud player did. it was such a cool musical moment. great video!
Brilliant one! musicianship and technique are both great here and supporting each other.
Very, very nice! I second the audience's applause.
very very very sweet sound...in fact..this is musical chocolate of the best quality...
Best spiritual music on the world
the overdrive at 0:46 and 1:04 is SICKKKK. THATS MAH JAMM
David u were the hero...

الله !! يا استاذ احمد
Congratulations! Great performance!
I would call it as the "Flamenco way of the East"!
His Daf style reminds me of Glen Velez.
My grandfather played the Oud. Too bad he didn't live long enough so his grandchildren could have enjoyed his companionship and musicianship.
He studied cello in Russia. His brother went on to become a well known composer. Some of his music is on youtube.

Masterful -- beauty that goes far beyond words. Khatib is my favorite Oud virtuoso, and Kuckhermann is masterful-- very soulful duo. This is a dreamteam that should stick together and do more performances. Great soundstage acoustics in that room.
@David K.-- do you sell the CD of your performances with Khatib? Please direct me to where I can buy it. Much respect and thanks for your wonderful work.
