Very helpful that you took the time to show the very subtle differences in tone and how to correct for that. Well done.

Thanks for this tutorial. I have the Cooperman 22" Tar (just received it). I would like to tune it to D-sharp. Do you think the head will tolerate that amount of tension?

Yes, I would assume so. Towards the end of the video he says he typically tunes his 22” Cooperman drum within the range of C to E

Thanks a lot. Just a little question. What pitch would be ideal for a 14 inch frame drum (goat skin) if not accompanied with another music instrument?

Thanks David. Just one more thing brother if it doesn't bother you. Is it okay to leave the frame drum tuned if I don't play it for a few days? Or should I de-tune it?

which drum is that and is that a thumbhole? it seems quite big to play standing up! thanks for the tuning advice!!

Very useful! Thank you. I have a question: when singing into the drum, there is one note with a strong resonance....is this the tuning base?

Hi David, I live in very hot weather. Could you advise a nice tar or mazhar that will stabilize tuning in D at 30o C (86o F) ?
    Thank you very much.
