Every time you show a one hand opener, I am so grateful to live in Austria. Here i can carry a fixed blade, or a big folder and everything is fine. Only daggers with 2 sharp blades are not allowed (but actually no one cares) Usually I have a big spyderco in my pocket, or sometimes a SOG Fatcat. I have to check out the fenix. Still using a fenix E12, and I love the fact, that you can use any AA Battery (also AA lithium). The E03R V2 looks great, thanks for introducing it.

For the beach-sand environment there are purpose made plastic bags-pouches for that, I simply use a ziplock sandwich bag or a freezer bag which I prefer due to the thicker material.
Absolutely love your kit videos Jon, I know I’ve said so many times before it’s getting boring but they are a joy to watch and always good for at least one idea! Those shorts for instance are something I will be looking into for sure. Cheers

The Strikerbit is one of those things that seems like a good idea when you back it, then a terrible idea when you wait and when you get it in your hand it's great. Sure it's a bit bulky if you need the case but I rarely need that many bits, two is enough for me. The Marksmith is a quite nice marker too, I keep it in one of my med kits.

Great gear haul. The Real Steel knife looks stunning, shame it's not UK Friendly. The only thing I wouldn't consider, is the striker bit, whilst very pretty, functionally, my existing Victorinox L driver is more compact and much more capable. I do see the appeal of it mind.

Hi. I discovered a fantastic multifunction knife. The Roxon Ks2. I believe it has everything the average guy needs. But it has a locking blade. So problem in the UK I guess
Ordered the iron tide shorts partially because of the review here... Not sure they are anything but a Kickstarter still. 2 weeks and not shipped, messaged them to find out they were out of stock for the color ordered (but didn't tell me and didnt show out of stock on the website) picked a different color and 10 days later still not shipped. Was told it would still be another week before it even ships. Ouch That's what you get for buying something that's a 'sponsored product'

Went to order some Irontide shorts but the website kept switching back to dollars and adding a shipping charge, despite earlier in the process telling me it was free shipping. I understand there are some new laws regarding knifes in UK. If a knife is above the 3inches in length and serves no practical use, it seems it’s now a criminal offence to possess the knife at home. So I presume if it’s not a kitchen knife or a knife used for woodwork etc then I’m presuming it’s now illegal? This is how I’m interpreting the new law am I wrong?
There are some very specific knives that are illegal to own - a quick google will highlight these - but most knives are fine to own. The challenges are more around public carry without good reason - blade length, locking etc. and there are new questions around what constitutes an automatic opening knife that needs clarification.

The question here is what qualifies as an 'offensive weapon' - you can google the list and see that knife collectors in the UK are unlikely to be negatively affected.

I’m $250 out of pocket after ordering these shorts to be sent to The Netherlands.

I have the Ant Design pry bar, it's worth noting that the pocket clip can be relocated to make it more useful.

Your concern about aux lights draining a flashlights battery are unnecessary. It barely registers.
