You know why people enjoy watching your channel? Because you are real, you are relaxed and don’t get to excited when things don’t go right. You show mistakes and don’t put on airs. Just nice to sit back and live vicariously thru you. Many of us would like to be where you are instead of at home.

Building a truck camper, anything you have in mind? Me, I like anything 1970's, Dodge, Chevy, or Ford--big blocks with old-school camper shells.
It seams like when an unexpected happens a dog or wildlife show up and just bring down the energy! Love animals, beautiful German Shepard too!

This guy is living my dream life! Also you can tell he was always the coolest kid at sleepovers growing up. Very likable person. I cannot imagine that grape jelly tasting good on meatballs tho!
I thought the same about the meatballs until a friend from work brought some in for a potluck. I told him that it sounded disgusting. They were pretty good to be honest.

Yeah use your favorite bbq sauce with the grape jelly (not as much as he added) but in the crockpot it works magic. Can also make wonderful Swedish meatballs as well.
He is living the dream but for one aspect where is the woman company. What good is having all that freedom open road memories and van life if your alone.

Crockpots/slow cookers were game changers for me and my cooking habits. I can only imagine that camping with one will be awesome. Especially in colder weather....

Wow! A whole new world miles away but yet so familiar! I am elderly, female, and can't get out much. I live in east tennessee surrounded by lakes, rivers, and mountains. Grew up camping with 2 brothers and as an adult my husband and I had an old Chevy pickup we rigged up for camping. Nebraska was just a name of a state to me, I never knew the beauty or how much it looks like my own surroundings! And what he eats is familiar too. How about some s'mores Mike??!!!

I laughed out loud when you took the bag and handled those ingredients. It actually was pretty darn clever. I cook in a crockpot alot at home and camping. Easy and convenient.
Tip: if you would like your buns warmed and 3ven cheese in buns next time set buns on lid of pot to warn. Just an idea. Tortillas or bread as well. Invert the crock lid.

A crook pot liner That's thinking Son. Please keep putting out your videos because my 14 yr. old Grandson and I really enjoy them and your personality and watching your channel. We love to go out and camp at boat launches so we can be on the lake by first light. So much easier than taking the motor home.
On my 92 F150 I wanted more headroom but couldn't afford a new/used high top canopy. So I built some wooden I beams from 1"X 3"s and 1/2" OSB (plywood) and used them to raise the canopy. For the tailgate it's just OSB and screwed to the inside of it to get a decent seal with the back hatch window. Screwed it all together and raised it 18 inches. Man what a difference. It was so much more comfortable that I could finally get my Granddaughter to go truck camping with us. Plus all of the other stuff we put in it's great.
The extension lift could also be removed in about 15 minutes using a Phillips tip & impact driver. The back panels were made more ridged when I attached some wood 2"X 2" risers.
I wouldn't have thought of it before your video, but I'm adding another item to my camping "checklist" that I use to keep myself sorted at a campsite. CHECK POWER SUPPLY BEFORE SETTING UP thanks for all your great videos!

I make the meatballs with the grape jelly and chili sauce regularly during the holidays, but never thought to make a sandwich! Brilliant!
Why grape jelly ? Just curious. Is that made often in your neck of the woods ?

Haven't read through all the comments, but stop at Harbor Freight and pickup an outlet tester. It plugs in and has three lights on it. It is exactly what you need and super cheap as well.

Back in the 90s, those meatballs were the most popular dish at potlucks and cocktail parties and the first to disappear. Very addictive! Nice to have spring arriving, but I will miss the storms. They add so much to the camping ambiance.

As usual, another great vid. Wish I had some sites like this in NJ. Just a thought grab yourself a cheap 10x10 pop up tent, store it on your roof storage, then can keep in the back open, and sit out in the rain and watch the fire! Crock pots are great! And Easy! Peppers onions sausage, pork chops, pulled pork or chicken! Can’t beat it!

I absolutely love the crockpot liner bags. Cleanup is such a breeze when using them! Great video. Watching you camp like that makes me want to get a topper for my lifted truck and do some camping that way. Thanks for sharing your camping experiences.
Are they safe? Id be unsure, with them being plastic. I hate anything thats heated using plastic. A few times probably wont hurt. But if you cook with them alot. I think they could cause health issues IMO.
@@D1Junk They're BPA free, but my experience with them is, they're a pain in the ass. Easily punctured so you get to clean your pot anyways.

In New England we call them cocktail meatballs and they're served in our family and with all of our relatives on my mother's side of the family. Every Thanksgiving and every Christmas as an appetizer to keep everyone satisfied until it's time to eat dinner. Here we are in the month of March and I know exactly what the inside of your truck must smell like at that exact moment in the video and suddenly you got me acting like a crack addict 3 months after Christmas now I'm jonesing for some cocktail meatballs. 😆

Awesome video as usual!! Meatballs with pasta sauce in the crock pot are also good!! I find the smaller meatballs fit in the sub roll easier than the larger meatballs. Another easy recipe for the crock pot is beef stew.

I do meatballs and smoky joes all the time in the crockpot, usually with bbq sauce, should uplevel yours by throwing a bottle of ranch in there 😂 man I haven’t seen Old Style in decades, would love to have one, that was a classic midwest beer, cheers 🍻
We usually use that sauce for little smoky apps. But also had it with meatballs. Awesome flavor!

It sounds so weird. But meatballs and grape jelly seriously works. Chili sauce and a good amount of Dijon mustard are what I add to em. It makes me happy when I make for a party or something and people get freaked out and don’t want any, I just get to eat a shit load of em🤘🏼I used to try to convince people to give it a shot, now I purposely don’t care😎

I make those meatballs almost every year for Halloween. You can't tell that there is grape jelly it's just a bbq flavor really. So good!! Great video. The non functioning outlet is another example of unscripted real life. Things like that happen to all of us. :) Edit to add: Your wife has excellent taste in beverages!
