Where is Boba Fett in the Mandalorian season 3? Will he become Mand’alor? And was Boba Fett actually weak in the Book of Boba Fett? Well, I say no. And here’s why! It’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan. I have a Star Wars theory!

As a man-,aged father, for, and a retired army officer, I I saw a lot in this show that related to me. One of the reasons Book of Boba Fett failed for me was that it did not show the full transformation of Boba from evil villain into a good person. You have payoff without setup. If we saw how treacherous Boba was before he changed his ways the payoff would have been more satisfying.
Not to mention with such a setup we could have moments when Boba is torn between doing the right thing and reverting back to his villainous ways - which would be tempting given the position of power he holds now.
Imagine the flashbacks to young Boba training under Cad Bane, learning all the wrong lessons about life, and becoming the villain we know from the ESB. Then he goes through his arc where he struggles with his dark impulses but in the end overcomes them. Finally, his struggle is culminated with in the duel with Cad Bane.
    Alas, a missed opportunity.
Still, I'd watch season 2 of Book of Boba.

I really loved the show. Some of my complaints were for one the Mos Vespa mod gang aesthetics. Their colorful bikes clashed with the Tattooine aesthetic so badly. They would have been ok in Nar Shaddaa or the lower levels of Coruscant but not Tattooine. If they had used regular speeder bikes it would have been much better. The other way bigger issue was Din stealing two whole episodes. I liked the idea of having Din come and help Boba fight the pykes and the "I'm with you until we both fall. We'll both die in the name of honor" scene and the following fight with the pykes was my absolute favorite moment in all of Star Wars history. But that should have been all of Din's part in this show. As Boba's ally and somebody who helps him embrace his Mandalorian heritage though his loyalty to him. The whole part with Luke, Ahsoka and Grogu should have been left for Mando S3. It was unnecessary to have the Grogu reunion here. I think Boba Fett should have been the one to calm the rancor and save Din. My final complaint was Boba removing his helmet so much. I like the idea that he only takes it off in front of his closest allies. I don't want him to be like Din's cult and never take it off but, when he does, I want it to have more weight and meaning. Now one thing I really did love was that this show was the first time we heard Mando'a in live action (Aliit ori'shya tal'din) and it was for Boba in his own show, not for Din in the Mando show. This meant a lot to me and yes I do hope Boba can still become Mand'alor somehow. I wrote a whole Twitter essay about it too.

    👍🏼good vid
I watched every episode 5 or so times.
I loved the beginning of BOBF. And I loved alot of the great parts in it.
To me the story just went weird.
Boba was fine to live his life w/the tuskins. Tuskins got killed, so that unleashed the old Boba. Gets ship back. Gets armor. Infiltrates crime scene to get to and destroy EVERYONE involved in the tuskin deaths. Some Mandalorians hear about stuff and come to help. They win the big fight; tuskin deaths avenged and in so doing becomes the hero of the town and the lead of a small group of Mandos.
That’s kind of what happened but not really. Tuskin deaths seemed to be forgotten and it never really showed that the town cared either way about spice.
I was disappointed in the over all show. Sorry for being negative.
I waited 40 some yrs for Boba not even knowing that I was waiting until it finally happened. My hopes were very high. My hi hopes and love of Boba did not let me just enjoy the show for a fun/cool Star Wars space adventure like I should have. I still have hopes for Boba. I’m still mostly loving The Mandalorian. Every mando I see; I see Boba. :) But no Boba. Feels like he’s being left behind during important mandalorian lead to leader stuff.
At the same time Bokatan could be a good leader and Djin is doing everything a mando leader should. But come on Boba!!!

(Btw it has nothing to do with age. He isn't that much older than Mando, and I think Fennec is older than him. So if they could still be fast and agile I don't see why Boba couldn't.)

Boba has always been a beast when it comes to physical strength. He could crumble a steel door with one kick, casually beat a different 4-armed monster, and he could wrestle Chewbacca. So, I don't think that they tried to nerf Boba for real. Tbh I think it's just bad execution. Like I said before, nobody wants to see Boba get destroyed (especially in his own show)

I love the fact of how they show in his backstory, after what he had to go through, and how it changed him!
Can anybody really say they are the same person they were 10 years ago?!
If they’re being truthful, of course not, because life experience makes us who we are! It changes and molds us, hopefully into a better person then what we were before!
    Both physically, and mentally stronger!

There were definitely things about BoB that I don't like the main thing was some of the things about the scooter gang. The flashy weird scooter for one. Another is that they seemed so weak for henchmen.
As far as boba I think a lot of the events make sense if you remember that he is tired of how people do things. A lot of the things that we'd expect him to do when slighted are things that characters like Darth Vader or Jabba would do. You know... bad guys. His decisions show that he's trying to do things a new way.
I thought the overall story was good. I felt like Disney got scared and forced those 2 Mando episodes in. Which I feel was a slap in the face to Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen as well as the story trying to be told.

I thought the thing. I didn't however get over the scooter chase scenes and the John Woo spinny spinny thing. All were cringy and laughable. I also thought Boba is in the running for Mandalorian's top spot in the upper echelon because he does know how to lead. Bo can lead also. Two Alpha's and Din is a lone wolf but can handle his business but doesn't like to lead. A Sigma trait. My thought's are can the Mandalorian people accept a clone to lead them? Will we ever see a live action of his sister Omega and the Bad Batch in these series?

Showed free town traiding with the Tuskens and starting to see a more united Tatooine.
Boba is more akin to a warlord or a shogun rather than a mob boss.
Returning to episode 5 and 6. Those could have been used to give more mandalorian lore and Boba views on it. We didn't need jedi, Andor proved it can worke despite most trying to find things about them there.

14:51 I’m fine with Luke being around, but he should be used sparingly. These episodes not only were out of place in BoBF but took away from The Mandalorian. They should have been released as part of season 3, as a season 2.5 or a miniseries. These two episodes would have been better spent convincing us that Boba was motivated, worthy, and able to lead Tatooine.

I had another thought to add…what if Boba’s dreams in his tank means more than meets t he eye. Dreams are ambiguous and it’s about your brain space at the time. What if it wasn’t him dreaming about his dad Jango, but he is dreaming about his personal clash of Mandalorian teachings from Jango, versus him not wanting to accept them because that way of life got his dad, Jango killed?

What's awesome is he's gotten better than what he was in the Clones War and the Galactic Civil War.
He releasing he was expandable as a Bounty Hunter, the people he worked for didn't care about him.
He was a lone Loth-wolf and as you know they're in packs, not alone.
He socialising with the Tuskens helped him become noble, the Tuskens taught him how to be apart of a tribe\community, provide for others, be respectful, be loyal, and be honorable & have honor. That's love people, that's family. The Tuskens are so much like the Mandolorians that's why it works when he lives among them as their own.
So would you call that weakness after seeing what he does in Mos Eisley? Oh you so little faith, cause you weren't pay attention then?

  • @jeffreycarman2185
    @jeffreycarman2185 Год назад

6:10 I never thought he looked weak but it did depict him as inept and unworthy of respect. In addition, the show didn’t have a convincing motivation for him to become the leader or know how to earn the respect of the people. The big reveal was he didn’t want to follow idiots’ orders? So lame. Not to mention this “motivation” has zero to do with the flashbacks, and it’s not like Boba proved to be some great tactician or planner (i.e. his stupid tactics cost a lot of his biggest supporters their lives). It would have been way cooler if the show would have explored his kinship with the Tuskens and showed him brokering a peace between all the tribes of Tuskens on Tatooine. When he came riding into the last scene on the rancor, it would have been so much more triumphant and impactful if he had been joined by hundreds of Tuskens. Giving the Tuskens a seat at the table also would reflect the more egalitarian leadership style he wanted to project, and a peace between the settlers and the Tuskens would have been something that could unite all the peoples of Tatooine under his leadership and earn the respect of the people. The partnership with the Tuskens would also have played nicely with a similar arch from The Mandalorian _and_ link directly to the flashbacks. How could he ever hope to go up against the might of the crime syndicates in the future without the support and respect of every person on Tatooine? What a lost opportunity.

Star Wars has become large enough that it’s come to function kind of like a comic book universe, like DC or Marvel. There a lot of different lore, different writers, different characterization, and some of it is contradictory. If you’re gonna be a fan, you need to figure out which parts you jive with and which parts you don’t. You don’t have to like all of it, you don’t even have to read/watch all of it. Just don’t try to ruin someone else’s fun.
