I miss my Harley. Me and my wife used to ride all over the place on that thing. 2013 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. My wife would sit back there and take a nap while we were riding.
I only buy parts from Harley if I absolutely have no other choice. Most parts can be had from your local auto parts store. Just cross reference the part numbers.
Those are nice. I've got a bike almost like yours . I may do the same thing with those blue lights. It looks better and seems the guage can be read easier. Thanks Rick.
I made similar upgrades to my Ultra classic, and absolutely love them, those lights are incredible. Next is a new throttle and return cable, and possible engine swap to a 107 with a 6 speed trans! Sleeper 99 Ultra!
@@HeyGunPeople there is a great motor cycle scrap yard, they sell bikes cheap, that have dented tanks, broken mirrors all the way to burnt wire harnesses, but most are still in good condition with tons of upgrades, still in good condition. I can get the engine and transmission in a bike w 15,000 miles for 2,500-4,000. I love the look of your bike
Just a quick note about light color choice. Red lights don't disrupt your night vision because of the way structures in the eye react to the red spectrum. You can use this fact to your advantage when it comes to selecting lights for illuminating the cabin and instruments during nighttime operation. Most vehicles use rather dim yellow or green lights and as we get older our ability do see in low light conditions becomes more poor. By switching to red lights we can make the instrument lights much brighter without destroying our night vision while at the same time making the instruments easier to see, compensating for our weakening eyesight in low light conditions. If you replace cabin lighting with red light you can actually read things with the cabin lights on and then turn them off without destroying your night vision in the process. Just some food for thought from an over the hill night racer......LOL
@@johnm840 , I have to admit the newer tech sure beats the way we had to do things in the old days. Today you can change a setting and have your choice of light color. In the old days we had to tear everything apart, change the bulbs, then put it all back together again. Which is why I've been putting off changing the lights in my old Honda. Need to get some brighter instrument lighting and I'd like to do the red thing but..... I've got better things to do with 2-3 hours of free time these days. Hope things are good well for you!
Rick , Could you drive up to Northern Ontario Canada and do that switch over to my '04 Electra Glide ? My high beam indicator is burnt out . It's only about a 40 hour drive one way . Be a pal ?
Hey Rick. Can you share where you got the LED bulbs. And are they a straight change out or is there adapters involved? I have been wanting to change my bike to led but just haven’t done it yet. From Midlothian Tex. Howdy neighbor!
Those are plug and play leds. Have to take the needle, face cover off and unsolder old lights and solder on new ones. It’s lame. I did the blue leds in my small gauges too. It looks good but it’s still hard to determine everything. Saving up for Dakota digitals. Wish the titanium gauges which you can buy cheaper from Harley were stock led white bc I’d honestly go with that.
You’re a cop you should know plate light has to be white otherwise you get a ticket! The blue looks sweet in the dash and it’s probably easier on your eyes at night not such a big adjustment, good job.
pull your fuses out and put a little dielectric grease on them, mine were hard to pull out needed pliers, after I removed dirt and gum and mild corrosion the went in super easy.
It had most advantages, old school bulbs can be seen through smoke/fog better, some people prefer tungsten filament bulbs to read by, more of a 'natural' light

No problem 👍
I'm liking the blue light better than the stock lights.
🤔 these are clearly blue....are they legal? You could be impersonating an officer 👮♀️
Thank you for reminding me

That’s a beautiful bike! Don’t get to see a whole lot of it on the horsey channel.
Those blue leds look sharp
Nice, didn't know you were a fellow biker. I've seen the small bike you have but first time i see your Harley. You a baaaad dude Rick!!!
Looks good, Rick.
Dude I broke a TINY little piece by my headlight - $100 just for the part. These Harleys are NOT cheap to own!
I'd just park it and ride the Dual Sport. But I'm biased 😁
Is that a screw hole to hold the speaker in place on the inner fairing???
Im about to fasten my speakers in the same manner.
🗣 Hi BIKE PEOPLE, but Rick you can't say that .... 😂🤣😂 nice bike Rick 👍
do they come in any other color besides blue
U fixed your camera..awesome man..

Oooo the blue looks good.
Is it not too bright? It looks like it’d be annoying at night.
Hey Rick you should set that up like a chp bike
Looks great. fyi: Today was a classic on officer Tatum channel
Do you still remember how to ride the hangar queen?
shut up you big dummy

I put up picture from amazon in video it shows where I got them
Why didn't you change the speedometer and tachometer?

I like the blue lights. My sister has a Harley, don't know much about it except it's black and a soft tail. Whatever that means :-)
Damn it. Your costing me more money!
Looks great !
So the speedo and tachometer are boards not bulbs correct ?

Good morning
where do i find the lights??
Did you change the speedo / Tach if so how?
pulled off fairing and replaced bulbs with LeD Blue
Yeah do the speedo and the tach that will look kool.
Will this work on a 01
$475 for a bulb? Jesus, Joseph and doggy style Mary that’s expensive
Cool Rick. I like it. How hard would it be to do speedometer and tach also? I am thinking of doing my Ultra lights
real hard lots of take down and gets really into comp board, way to many things to go wrong.
I like the blue better.
That looks good!
Love those lights..
Great job! 🇺🇸
I'm a bike people. 2012 Victory Cross Country Cory Ness Edition #88 (RIP Victory) :(
Nice. Ya i like the blue too.
Cool I might do that to my motorcycle
If you put a blue light on the license plate, the PO-PO will pull you over for sure.
Sweeet video Rick
No way to change the bulbs on the Speedo and Tacho also
LED is always better
It had most advantages, old school bulbs can be seen through smoke/fog better, some people prefer tungsten filament bulbs to read by, more of a 'natural' light
Nice, LED technology has exploded from where it was.
Yea harley cutomer service is gone down hill there parts are usually junk there are better after market parts trust me
I think Harley is going to go away pretty soon. Just my opinion. They dropped the Dyna line, and the soft tail line. They won't be around much longer.
