Paul (even though he's American) deserved to win, he played better. But; as with Djokovic vs Tabilo, you have to realise that this wasn't the real Meddy before you praise the winner too much. Meddy played like he was in slow motion, lacking aggression and vigour, and he looked tired - is it related to the injury? In any case, I look forward to seeing Novak, Alcaraz, Sinner & Medvedev back to normal form. I assume (even though I would have liked it to be Meddy) that Tsitsipas will do it here this year.
