did you guys know that when you use a shield and it flashes red, the charged move enemy used against you was super effective, when it flashes blue it was not very effective and when it doesnt flash it was neutral, a liitle neet trick to remember the type effectivnes
if you are not good with type match ups heres a tip when you shield something and dont know if it is supereffective or not the look at the colour of the shield. If the colour is blue and purple that means its nuetral damage. If its red that means super effective. And if it is dark blue that means it is not very effective.
I think maybe the guy who just sat there and let you win, may have actually been booted from the game. This has happened to me loads in pvp. By the time game reloads, match is still going on and I’m 1-2 Pokémon down.
Nah they almost definitely quit after being maximum hard countered in the lead and maximum hard countered on the swap. Swampert was gonna come out with a million energy from that secondary match-up, so Shadow Machamp would've been blasted with maybe 3 Hydro Cannons, and they probably had another thing weak to Swampert in the back.

I absolutely dominate any swampert i ever fight with my pokemon not even worried about him honestly to many people are using him

Use sceptile with bullet seed
@@gewhdwgdiwgf2313 Don't use, it's the worst grass starter. Use venusaur with frenzy plant/Trevenant or Virizion. Abomasnow/Ferrothorn are also good if you don't have anything else.

Mad respect for giving pvp a try. It’s certainly not for everyone but it can be a lot of fun when you clutch a win you shouldn’t have been able to get! I hope to see you explore PvP more in the future :)

Yep, it's horrible. Before that it was going really well too, had a great team set up for Ultra League.
Updated the game, opened it to do a match, and it was completely f*cked.
Same here, my team was wrecking in ultra league for literally the first time ever n Niantic was like ok hold up now 😂
New update in the playstore for Android. Fixed the lag issue for me.
When you don’t have a good team (like me) the phrase, “I’m not going to shield. I hate myself.” Is 100% accurate.

PvP is broken for me. Like literally, I go into a battle and it just breaks, goes down to like a frame every 5 seconds. Seemed to start with the most recent update.

Machamp: Counter + Rock Slide - People don't expect Rock slide so if a Charizard, Moltres, or in general a flying type they don't shield and I usually 1 shot or take a big chunk and it Recharges pretty fast

Number one, don’t drop a star piece until you’ve finished your first set. You basically waste an entire star piece popping it first. Two, the GBL research rewards seem to not be boosted with a star piece.

complete a set of 5 battles and safe the rewards. Then pop the stardust piece and battle until u feel u cant win, dont mind surrendering fast to have more battles. did this when x3 pvp stardust and got over 120k stardust per day

Unfortunately for me after the last update anytime I PvP, either in GBL or against a friend I experience SEVERE frame rate drops during only my fast attacks, if I stop and let the opponent attack it's fine, if either uses a charged move it's fine, but when I use fast moves the game pretty much freezes until the enemy gets a charged move. It really sucks because I'm currently training and preparing for the North Carolina Regionals in March and the North American International Championships in June and this is really putting a strain on my in game practice, while it gives me an excuse to put time and research into team building and strategic planning, I also really really need that hands on practice for swaps and move counting
Same issue is happening to me. don’t know why it does that, but it’s really frustrating me.
@@5742_ i actually JUST managed to fix it, update your Google play services, looks like a puzzle piece, idk if having Google play games downloaded matters or not but I also downloaded that, and then I updated pokemon go again and it works fine now

I use an obstagoon with counter and night slash because night slash charges pretty quickly so you can get rid of their shields for your other pokemon

my team (master league) is dragonite, dragon breath and dragon claw, second is gyrados, water fall and outrage but i want to swap to dragon breath and surf. vaperon has water gun and hydro pump, ive sweeped 90% of the battles ive played with stragetic swapping

Use posion seviper and brown stunfisk and a Slowbro for 1500, shadow gyrados is good on 2500
I already have that but my battle league seems to have a problem
My game is fine it's very smooth
But when you battle on league it keeps frame dropping and no ijternet connection is popping up
But when a pokemon(foe or you) uses a charge move it back again to smooth and after that charge skill it cam back into frame dropping fight
on the research it says 1/5 pages. What are the other pages tasks and rewards
Tip for others: Don't drop the star piece until AFTER you do your first 5 battles.
anyone else try to enter a match and get error 1000:6? it wont let me match with anyone and I don't know how to fix it
I would recommend grinding for rank 20 in battles cuz theres always a Big legendary chance in the pokemon appears from battle rewards
Edit: and thats how i got 3 dialgas in 7 minutes
For ultra league I always use a shield burn to make sure they have no blocks then I use ryperior with surf and gardivor and win 80% of the time
Edit: by shield burn I use somthing to gain charged attack in 4 hits or less

When you see that Sceptile does so low dmg against your Venusaur, Don't attack immediatly. Overfarm on energy before using a charge move.

So I just got my first Elite TM from the event. I don't have very many good legendaries or ones with good IVs. Should I save my Elite TM for a Mewtwo or some better legendary? or should I use my Elite TM on a non-legendary like Swampert or something else maybe?

Not going to lie PVP is more interesting if they could turn the app into a nxt lvl mode and add a server map room were we go on quest and friends on our list can join up maybe some duel battles and region play for specific badges or stone

He's a strategy I always have one Pokemon in my team that had a faster charge attack to make my my opponent all the shield quickly

Also your teams not that bad remember to use PVpoke with the battle simulator I would use the battle matrix thing and put your Pokémon up against the ultra league meta

You can first finish all the battles and then drop a starpeice and collect all the rewards this way you will just need one starpiece...
Theres a tier list by pvpoke, use that and u can make team comps there and they would rate it for u

the odds of winning definitely decrease once you hit level 5, it takes serious effort to get past 7, I'm waiting for the master league to open so I can get to level 44
I was sad yesterday shiny eevee ran from me because of my auto catcher low key felt a little better when he transferred metagross still hurt tho
I only use auto catcher for spinning stops and gyms. Not reliable for catching mon except easy catches like magikarp on spotlight hours.

I feel like the star dust pieces didnt give u anything extra. Each time u win 4 rounds u get 4200 star dust already. I dont think it gave you 9k every time
