I learn more watching this guy than any of the other channels. May play has improved a lot since I've been watching him. His descriptions of his tactics are very good and he plays very calmly.
Germany has the best tanks but the worst players also fuck gaijin for balancing with statistics and not capabilities.
7.7 is fine because it sometimes gets 6.7 downtiers, 8.3 is fine because it gets 7.3 downtiers and its strong enough to fight 8.7, 8.0 neither gets downtiers nor is it strong enough to compete against 8.7 every match. This applies to most nations and makes many vehicles torture to spade

8.0 MBTs are mostly rough to play. They get uptiered 9 out of 10 times and face vehicles with LRF, stablizer, APFSDS while hardly having 1 of it.
T-54 with trash gun handling and M48 with 90mm will be the worst
7.0 mf fighting sweden and dies to a VIDAR 2 minutes into the game from 1.6km away
Can confirm 7.7-8.0 t54 is the worst in up tiers absolutely diabolical
8.3 on the otherhand is mostly downtiers. Try bulding a lineup at that br

I do agree the leopard one is that a severe disadvantage because it doesn’t get a stabiliser and it doesn’t get dark rounds and everything you face has darts
Every streamer/YT player who talks Leo 1 says to use the APDS. I always take the HEATFS, so I'm glad to see you also preferring the round in favor of the APDS.
The Leopard I being a tough tank to play is particularly bad since it actually hurts your team a lot. The tank doesn't inspire confidence at all, and many try to play it way too carefully, which means that most Leopard I players don't do much in matches. I usually do okay with this tank, getting 3 kills before I die most of the time, but I still always loose the battles since my teammates in Leopard I, Germany's only "MBT" at 8.0, don't do much because they try to survive and get some kills without dying immediatly. The matchmaker for this is also absolutely terrible, making the problem even more pronounced, this tank falls apart when it comes across a horde of up armored and stabilized T-55s which happens very very often.

@@Rimmless I agree with you, but as stated in my comment, my team usually doesn't. It is posibble to do well in it and at the same time loose most matches you play with it because Germany at 8.0 does suffer especially since you have to deal with teams that aren't as good as you in challenging German vehicles. I too got my second ever nuke in this tank, it is also my favorite MBT in this game and I like to pair it with the M48A2 G A2 because 8.3 has a bit better match making.
Oh man the flashbacks when you mentioned the old cost of HEAT haha, probably a good reason I forgot that with how many of those shells I fired back in the day.

everyone always said to use APDS on the Leo 1 but I always picked HEAT-FS. It feels like it does more damage, it can overpressure things and you aren't that badly punished for shots at thick plates. The only downside is that it blows up on bushes
When I played trough Italy at 8.0 recently I have never gotten a down tier, not even a slight down tier.
Why the ZTZ59a is so good you get lrf and stabiliser. Nothing more satisfying than sniping helpless IS4Ms far away
Something I’ve learned after playing Germany long enough is Germany makes beautiful ambushing tanks… if it’s ww2 I have endless tips 😂 and if Leo I have a few tips especially the panzer battalion

Jon is right, I played yesterday 9.0 Japan and I got a Incredible amount of Downtiers, I barely get 10.0 matches, like one of 10 games, never saw such stuff in my WT carrer 😮
I adore this tank. 8.0 is balanced spot for this. I even putted talisman on this beast. Hoơever, this br almost exclusively seeing top tier every match, so it can be outpaced by stab tank and tank with great mobility.

Its not. Tanks are good! But u have to much fresh accounts with just 1 tank. So the chance of lose is high
