That's awesome! Nice memory. This past spring a buddy had his camper there and due to flooding, the water rose so rapidly, he barely got his camper pulled out and to higher ground.
It is an awesome road! Like I mentioned in the video, once you get further west, past Corydon, it gets scenic again. We have a great route in Indiana I've been wanting to do, but it's 450 miles, so I'd prefer to do it in the middle of summer when the days are long. Things just haven't worked out the past couple years.
Nice video, We live about 20 miles west of Madison. We’ve ridden 62 many times up through Friendship. Another nice ride is State rd. 56 from the Lawrenceburg area it follows the Ohio River all the way down to Madison. The burger joint in Madison you were talking about is called Hinkles, they are known for their sliders.
Thanks! We love the Madison area. Yes, we have ridden 56 and 156 along the river many times. It's a great route! I only wish they would get 156 fixed so it could stay open. Yes, Hinkles! Now that you mention it, I recall a buddy at work calling it that. We've not eaten there but will have to try it. It's great to hear from someone who lives in the area.
Fun twisty winding road. Yeah I never knew Turkeys could fly that high either. Are the leaves gone due to its Winter there now or did they got burnt with a fire ?.Cool Silverstream caravans on the right there. Caravan central. Yeah buffalos look seriously scary. Bummer the burger shop closed. Cool shot of your bike near the rock and waterfall. Well done getting out of there. Mrs Den's trigger finger for those close encounters lol. The river walk is cool. Yeah would be good for a cafe /;restaurant. Mr & Mrs Dens burgers & ice creams. Btw that's my favourite of your helmet with the eagle & flag on it.
This video was actually from spring and I didn't get around to editing it until now. It takes several hours to edit one video, so sometimes it's hard to find that time. Especially during riding season👍 Yeah, I was disappointed the burger joint closed. Yeah, I liked that helmet better than my new one, but it was worn out. It was actually 7 years old. I have a hard time finding a helmet that fits my head properly so after months of looking when I found this one I bought it. They had one with a black color scheme that I liked better, but I thought one with white might be a little cooler. I think I may make a lamp out of the older one.
Nice ride! Stopped at Montour Falls NY a while back on my way home from PA, Aunt Sarah's Falls looked kind of like that, when the water table gets low it can disappear completely. Fortunately Chequaga still had a good flow, made it worth the detour up there.
Thanks! Sorry about the late comment. For some reason RUclips held this comment for review and I didn't see it until now. We loved our trip to NY. Have you been to Letchworth or Watkins Glen State Parks? They are awesome! We haven't been to Montour Falls yet.
No, that's the only NY trip so far, if I'd had more time I'd have gone into Watkins Glen, which is literally only a mile or so up the road from Montour Falls. I had a long ride home, got back around 11pm as it was. You mentioned the high water marks on a building; at White's Ferry (not currently operating due to a dispute with the landowner on the VA side of the Potomac, who wants more money for the landing rights) there is a building with several high water marks, one of them is halfway up a second-floor window. First time I saw that and noticed the date I knew it was from Hurricane Agnes, which also washed out the footbridges at Great Falls park on the MD side. The park on the VA side of the river has a pole with a number of high water marks, Agnes is the third highest there (and that pole is a maybe forty or fifty feet above the normal level of the river there).
@triumphrider9796 Wow! That's high!! It's a weird feeling seeing that, and knowing so much was underwater. We have a video of our trip to New York when we visited Letchworth and Watkins Glen. I can't wait to go back but I think I'll go on a weekday. We were at Letchworth on Saturday, and it was packed with a huge line waiting to get it.
Yeah, saw that video. I was on a canoe trip on the Susquehanna River a couple years after Agnes, we came to the bridge that carries US6 over the river at Towanda PA, and I happened to look up and saw piles of driftwood on the bridge piers, thirty feet or more above the river's normal level. Agnes did that too.
Thanks! Haven't thought that far ahead but probably something like what was there, hamburger joint. I think it's getting the word out and the look of the place that makes it or breaks it. When I looked up the original restaurant that was there, nothing came up on the internet about it and they didn't do a very good job on the appearance of the place.
What road was that waterfall on please? We came in from the KY side then up 62 to 50 over to Cincinnati in August. We had ice cream at the location where you used to eat along the river.
Thanks for the video. My first camping trip with my Dad was at Friendship. I was 6 years old and Dad took me there on his 1980 Harley FLHS.

Looks like a great motorcycle road guys! Nice footage and info 👍🏼🎥
Thanks! We don't ride in Indiana often, but when we do, we stay in the southern part of the state.
love the views
Thanks!
Great video and location!! Thanks!
Thanks! Appreciate the comment
Thanks for the video and ride 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Looked like a great lazy-day ride. Gotta love the minimal traffic miles and the little waterfall was pretty neat. Let the good times roll...
Love riding roads with little traffic. We ride in Kentucky quite a bit and some areas you barely see anyone.
Awesome road.
It's definitely a fun road and hopefully they can get the erosion problem taken care of so the road stays open.
Great road! We have been looking for more roads in Indiana. Going behind the falls was cool! Thanks for the video!

Same here , deffiinitely need to check this out
Great ride!
Thanks! Appreciate you watching
Deffiinitely need to check it out, we have been wanting to check out Indiana in the fall and spring i like having the sun in my back at night.
We'll have to get together this spring and head over to Indiana

@@motorcycleden Ah yes a lamp out of your older helmet sounds like a plan 👍

Nice ride, so if you were to open a restaurant what kind of food would it have ?

When I looked up the original restaurant that was there, nothing came up on the internet about it and they didn't do a very good job on the appearance of the place.
@@motorcycleden The restaurant would be hard to get going but if it did hopefully it would not cut into the riding time 😁
@james82744 you make a great point! That's why I'll always be poor, riding is more important to me than money 😁

Route 7 is the road, just north of Madison.

How was the ice cream? We've haven't stopped there yet.
