2am and i'm completely hypnotised with this amazing creation of you. Such a deep, melodic, harmonic combination. This is Nils Frahm Level. Amazing
The perfourmer cuts through the mix like no other synth. And the sound is so fat and organic ! After having seen some videos on RUclips, I decided to buy one. This is a very unique synth with unique features and a sound of its own. It's a keeper for sure.
Wow really really beautiful. Really love the kick and the Perfourmer sounds. And then the Juno. So beautiful!
Jascha Jaja, thanks a lot!
Gave me a real Moonlight Sonata feel! I could almost hum the lead melody over it :) Very cool!
Even more excellent!! Love it
⚡️love it !
Amazing man, love it

@@richlee. way better
@@coen8531yup!
@@coen8531yeah!
Mike, super nice melody and chord progression. Picked up a Perfourmer mkll last year and really love it.... really beautiful tone to it. Fellow J60 owner and your CR8000's older brother, the CR78. ;)
Kkidzz, tanks for watching! I really love the CR78 and have some videos featuring that one as well.
I enjoyed this tune! :)
Filmscore muzik! Amazing! ❤💙💛🧡
Ohh great!
god i hate that i sold my juno 60.. that vermona sounds so visceral.. plucks my ears oh so nice.
Man I need to get more out of my perfourmer
Love it!
the sound of the juno is so perfect!! best synth of all time for me... but I can only advice you to buy an MS20 to make your setup perfect :)
Hey, thanks for the advice!
Amazing! Do you usually set Perfourmer to monophonic or polyphonic mode when sequencing from Ableton?
Calle Wachtmeister, I’m using both modes depending on the mission - monophonic for bases, arpeggios and melodies and polyphonic for structures and chords and more random basses and arpeggios where all four voices have different settings!
Sounds fine I really like the Conga is that the cr drum?
what fancies me:-)
so good! is that a cr 78 doing the congas?
Bam!
Man that ruled. How was the CR-8000 synched?
Hey, it’s synced with a deopfer MSY2. Works perfect!
DAAAAAAAAAMN! :-)
Good job man. Is the kick from the drm?
theinvisibleman, yes it is!
Great Vibe! How do you like your DRM1 compared to your Tanzbär - soundwise and workflow?
Thanks! The DRM feels a bit more old school in its sound, its great for more experimenting stuff and the user interface are one knob per function so its really hands on. The Tanzbär has a bit more punch, and I love the sound, but the interface is the worst I ever seen on an instrument. I have it hocked up by MIDI, so I don't have to touch it to make adjustments, haha!
@@MikaForsling Thanks! Yeah, MFB has great sounding machines, but the handling sometimes seems a bit weird watching videos/tutorials.
Hey Mika,
Just got a perfourmer and getting acquainted with it, so for even just playing around for a few hours sounds amazing!
I wanted to ask, are you programing all notes your self or do you let performer modes spit out random notes?
I am planning on sequencing with octatrack and trying to figure out if I should program all 4 modi’s channels separate for each synth/voice or go with all 4 synth on 1 midi channel.
Your music is put of this world by the way!
I mostly use the perfourmer in poly mode with the same midi channel for all voices - that way most unexpected things occurs. For example if you have a three note melody it will still cycle through all four voices, if you then have the voices set to different waves and octaves, nice things start to happens. Lately(for a live set) I’ve been used the first voice(for bass duties) on its own midi channel which gave me more control over the bass. I don’t know if following makes sense but one thing I use a lot are to “reset” the voices by pushing one of the left buttons until it cycles through all voices. You’ll see how the LEDs are moving in the pattern of the mode you’re in. Do it a couple of times and stop just before it returns to voice one again. This way you know that your pattern always will start on voice one and it makes it easier to predict what’s happening.
@@MikaForsling I appreciate the tips! This thing is something else of awesome!
For the melodies, do you tend to enter basic chords and let it do its thing or do you find some type of midi note structure works better as far as note length and chord structure?
Thanks
Roman
For straight melodies I would use it in mono-mode, but just play around with the different modes, octaves and waveforms and hear what happens.
But... if you’re already having a melody - why not add a bass line on the same midi channel? I think the fun with the perfourmer starts when you’re giving it two or three different tasks at once. For example I could pick two of following tasks: playing melodies, bass lines, drones, counterpoint stems, arpeggios, ostinato figures, polyrhythmic notes or whatever you like! Does it make sense?
@@MikaForsling Yes, makes total sense. That is the beauty of the synth that you can get it to do interesting things and some of it is unexpected!
Very cool! in what mode do you use the pefourmer (unison, poly)?
Sounds like hard sync
Beautiful track Mika. Can i ask on the arpeggiated sequence there are three ascending notes but the Perfourmer has four mono's. So are you assigning one mono to a drum track. Just wondering.
Thank you DeStress! I couldn’t remember so I had to watch it again.. I’m using all four voices for the arpeggio. One voice as bass, one in the middle and two on the top panned left and right! Was that an answer to your question?
Are you triggering the cr8000 or are you syncing them somehow?
David C, I’m using a doepfer MSY2 for getting MIDI to DIN Sync, so there’s no triggering going on!
Analog power driven by a master hand... :-)
?
great jam, horrible spot to keep a mixer, but if it's good for you, guess its good for the jam
A poor man’s Nils Frahm
