I hear that 2nd gear. Ouch! One of the things I heard from my aunt, is Ferrari service shop said avoid 2nd gear until the car is well warmed up. Because it wears the synchromesh on 2nd. The car has more than enough torque to go from 1st to 3rd, 3rd to 1st until fully warmed up. My aunt had one of these cars in CN. She drove Ferrari’s from the 1950s to 1990. A long reign.
hi, this takes me back, this was my first introduction to the Ferrari brand, i was going to buy a 365BB, but got lost on my way to the sellers location, this was over 30 years ago, no sat nav, so i missed it by 30 minuets , so i reluctantly got this, ! what a aye opener, did exactly whit it said on the tin, handled like i was on rails, when cold never select 2nd gear, syncs don't like it , go to 3rd, plenty of torque to do this, and it holds four adults, im 6 feet three inch tall, brother same, plus the wives, 14 mpg at 30 mph, or 130 mph, made no difference, jump 30 years later i got my next Ferrari a mother 4 seater, a 1994 456GT 6 speed , put a smile on my face every day all day. both gone now, still have my 1994 928GTS, auto, just not as mental as my ferraris . thanks for the trip.
