slow weapons arent used because no matter what, they can still miss. It will almost always be more beneficial to attack more. Especially because the best defence in this game is an OP offense.
Every slayer master gives same tasks in leagues, and since you have clue compass.. Canifis, Edgeville or Shilo Village task masters would be much faster to reach than Chaeldar.
Not a fan of doing isn't to say I'm not a fan of watching IT -- I think OSRS pvp is really, really interesting and just super unique in the MMO landscape. One of my future videos will be on OSRS combat entirely and a portion of it will 100% be dedicated to PvP!
You actually can see your equipped weapon attack speed. In your equipped item menu, the leftmost button at the bottom displays your equipped stats and all the way at the bottom it shows your base and actual attack speeds. It will be in fractions of a second as opposed to ticks but it is there!
I both hate that and love that. I really dislike the slayer helm as a concept (particularly how it breaks set bonuses in the main game, which nullifies gear diversity within slayer), so it was sad to see that carry over even more intensely in leagues haha.
5:20 uh.. Yes it actually does tell you the attack speed of the weapon.. Bottom of the stats. And on the other note, you didn't get a mimic fight.. It was a question "do you want a chance to get them?", the mimic fight requires Kourend so you won't get them without it
Mimic can only be fought in zeah region because you gotta go to watson house to fight it! Hopefully you don't get any mimics since you didn't chose the option to opt out
Tier 5 is by FAR the easiest choice lmao. The treasure hunting relics are ALWAYS the right choice. Plus there are a SHIT load of clue related tasks in the medium and hard difficulty. With the compass and the treasure relic I went from tier 5 to tier 6 in a few hours.
I think by the time I hit t5 I was already getting into bossing so I didn't particularly need the gear offered through trails, especially since clue scrolls are relatively easy with just the clue compass.
Melee fight caves is quite tricky for people with little experience. With his relics it definitely would have been faster, but it’s a lot to worry about on your first fight cave.
I psyched myself out, mainly. I did eventually do a melee fight caves (likely in the next few videos) and it's a lot easier than I expected, albeit the power creep of leagues is very, very real, lol.
Sorry to disappoint! My next longform essay will be about limited game modes in MMOs (through the lens of leagues), and to write that well I need to play through leagues proper. Instead of just having a huge gap of time between videos, I rather try and make something entertaining in the meantime :) Not for everyone, I totally recognize that, but I think it's nice to offer a bit of a diversity of content.
12:55 No, high level PvMers are not worried about Jad because his attacks are extremely slow and predictable.. Fight caves is definitely a stamina fight, but Jad is one of the easiest part of it. The worst part is that the prayer switch isn't very obvious since you do it during his attack animation (when it starts) and not when getting hit like you would do in World of Warcraft.. But even melee Jad is relatively simple since you basically just keep praying Melee protection until he attacks with something else then you tap the correct prayer for 1 tick and switch back to melee. It sounds harder than it is, but once you get the mechanics of this game they become much less intimidating to the point where "the whole game can be solved and become predictable" I sometimes wish that the game wasn't as easy to solve as it is, because a ton of mechanics can be completely avoided even in the most difficult fights like Awakened Leviathan for example. And most of the fights become just pre-planned movement while the boss does 0 damage. (Which is one of the issues why it's so easy to make bots for this game, and bots are often better than mid level pvmer because they don't get nervous mid fight and make missclicks) RNG will play part on many of the fights, but if the movement is already planned ahead it's basically the only thing you have to think about in the entire fight and basically every boss fight starts to feel the same even if they look different. Aka, lot of end game fights boil down to "pray correctly and move in pre-planned steps"
Keep going w/ ur vids! osrs community loves having good content creators to watch. You’re gonna pop off!!
Thanks so much!
Videos are just getting better and better, good shit
Thank you so much! I'm putting in a load of effort into making them, so it's good to know that's paying off!
Another gamer falls prey to the charm of the osrs music. Still listen to it 15 years later from time to time, it never gets old.
Thank you for making osrs content 😊 you have a great editor!
Thank you! I'm my own editor so I'll take the compliment twice, haha!

Fun Fact, 209,715 xp is the most that the chat message will ever show for a Slayer Task. Even if you actually get much more xp on the task.
Oh really? That's fascinating, actually.
Wonder why. Thatd not even an integer of 32

That's super interesting and something I didn't know at the time, thank you
Even though you're not a fan of it, the perspective of PVP from WOW->OSRS player could be really interesting :D

This is very true and I discover it far later than I'd like to admit.
I green logged Araxxor using the anchor to always 1 hit the ranger.
Great decision on tier 5. Jagex bugged slayer relic so ur bis helmet is slayer helm for EVERYTHING (besides pvp)

Took a similar route to yours. Main difference for me was to grab Guthans and just hack'n'slash through the fight caves in under 30mins.
Not a bad idea!

certified Reggae moment
Will you be sending TOB ?
Of course! Can't wait for those videos, loads of good content theree.
Why didn't you use melee?

slow attack speed weapons are lame, except for the twisted bbow!
