I feel like there was a big difference between his performances in the 1st and 2nd half of the season. While he was still good Kane wasn't nearly as clinical (e.g. against Bochum where he missed a few sitters) or even much of a presence on the pitch. Sometimes it seemed he was just kinda there. And that was before the CL semi finals against Madrid.

Kane is just one of those strikers who throughout a season will bang in goals regularly but very rarely shows up in big moments when a trophy is on the line. Drogba was kind of the complete opposite, he didn't even hit double figures for goals in a couple of Premier League seasons but ultimately it's 10 finals, 10 goals, and 10 trophies for Drogba. At this point you have to feel bad for Harry Kane because this isn’t even a joke anymore. Despite being seen as one of the best strikers in the world for the last decade with over 400 goals in his career and multiple scoring titles for club and country, he remains the greatest player ever to have never won a single trophy and he’s 30 years old. It’s getting ridiculous and I don’t want to use the term cursed, but at this point you wonder when he’s going to win a trophy. Even Lamine Yamal who just turned 17 has already won more trophies than him. BTW he won the Audi Cup. The sad reality about this is that after spending all those years on Tottenham, the guy went to Bayern Munich of all teams and these guys are guaranteed to win 1-2 trophies every season, yet in his debut season despite scoring 44 goals in 45 games in all competitions numbers that would put him in the conversation for the Ballon Dor, he still failed to win a single trophy hours after he joined the club he bottled another trophy in the German Super Cup final against RB Leipzig and their streak of winning 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles came to an end as they finished 3rd in the league.
Following England’s loss in the final of the EUROs, Kane has played 6 finals in his career he’s lost all of them without scoring a single goal. (Tottenham- Carabao Cup final in 2015 and 2021 against Chelsea and Manchester City, 2019- champions league final against Liverpool, England- 2020 and 2024 EUROs against Italy and Spain, Bayern Munich- German Super Cup final against RB Leipzig and after he joined they had their first trophy less season in 12 years where they surprisingly failed to win the Bundesliga.). It’s like they say “you can take a player out of Tottenham, but you can’t take Tottenham out of him.” Ok that joke isn’t that funny anymore, this is getting sad. Many fans see him as a generational loser fraud a stat padder someone who cares about his individual statistics and records rather than winning and he’s regularly criticized for not showing up in important games and I do agree to a certain extent that Kane is one of the greatest players that England has ever produced he’s their all time top scorer and he had to be their main man in big games rather than being taken off for Ollie Watkins with 30 minutes to go when your team is behind by a goal, but people need to realize that football is a team sport and he’s played on clubs where they’ve lacked stability and are changing their managers every season and he’s part of a national team who had a manager that was allergic to attacking football and ok he’s done everything that he could, it’s not his fault that some of his teammates are mid. He has gone into some finals and major tournaments without being 100% fit and ok even when fully fit apart from couple of odd goals which are penalties, he hasn’t always delivered when it matters most for club and country. When we want to talk about his lack of trophies, we need to give Kane constructive criticism because yes he can’t remain trophy less forever since you play on Bayern Munich who’ve been the most dominant team in domestic football in the last 10 years and if he fails to win a trophy there, I’m ready to have uncomfortable conversations about him. Yes, he can continue scoring goals and winning Golden Boots as that’s what he can do since he’s an elite striker and a very good player, at this point people only care about him winning a trophy because you look at his resume for club and country with his goalscoring record and this is someone who regularly carries his team and has nothing to show for it because if he’s scoring so many goals, why isn’t he winning anything.

I know Harry Kane may be cursed and careers are so often measured by trophies but in all honesty people will remember Harry Kane as Tottenham and England's all-time top goal scorer then some random player who took a huge pile of cash and won a trophy at City as a bench warmer in the years to come. He said there’s been an increase in players continuing well on into their late 30’s who have still been successful. He probably will win a trophy with Bayern this season but i’m glad since this final against Spain people are actually seeing what us spurs fans saw after the final against liverpool he always declares himself fit when managers should be brave and say no I’m starting a player who hasn’t been carrying an injury.

Harry was injured, he spent the last 2 weeks of the season away from Bayern getting treated by his own private doctor in hopes of being fit for the Euro's.
But it didn't work, he wasn't fit. He was capable of playing but nowhere near his best & Southgate knew that yet choose to start him anyway.
Harry couldn't refuse, he's the captain, he has to project confidence & lead the line.
Gareth should've treated him like Luke Shaw. Even just resting him for the group stage could've made a key difference.

There was a time when Kane even when he wasn't scoring was still a real asset to the team, with his ability to see and complete a killer pass, but those days have long gone. He still has a shot in him, can take a penalty and still can see a pass, but his movement is statuesque.
For the last two season he was at Spurs he was slow, no longer jumped, didn't press with any conviction and for all the goals he did score he lost his team goals because they are for large parts playing with ten men. He is never in a million years a captain.
When he moved to Bayern from Spurs he said in 2024 "It's a different pressure to what I felt at Spurs. Of course, we wanted to win things but if you went a couple of games without winning, it wasn't a disaster. The feeling at Bayern is that you have to win every game," - that attitude was on show for the last two seasons he played for Spurs and demonstrated being the England captain.
His problem is less about ability but more about a lack of effort, pundits say he is tired, if he is not running in the first five minutes, that isn't fatigue that is attitude.
Never should be picked again to play and captain England.

The first is considered one of the best Italian players ever, but only won 4 trophies in his whole career, while Di Natale is among the best players ever to have never won a trophy (and he too lost a Euro final against Spain).
They played in the 90s and 2000s, so people just valued their talent, not saying "they pretty much never won anything" but just questioning "how is their trophy cabinet not stacked?!".

Kane picked up a back injury in the first leg and was visibly handicapped in his movements against Stuttgart, nevertheless they let him jog on the pitch for 90 minutes. In the second leg, Bayern had to sub him out after 84 minutes while they were still leading. Since then I've never read that he's 100% recovered. Now he wanted to go somewhere else to win easy trophies. Don't work like that, no team can carry you when you are a player like that, you got to be part of it and he never was when it mattered, not for Tottenham and not for England. He just isn't a player for the big occasions, just a good goal scorer when there isn't so much pressure. He should never have started the finals he did for Tottenham, he had just been injured and wasn't fit every time, the team did their job and then he was thrown right in there for the final. If he had really been a leader he would have said "I can't start, I am not fit, put me on the bench", that's what a real leader would have done.

It's not just kane, Phil foden - 19 premier league goals and a premier league winner. Jude Bellingham - 20+ goals as a midfielder for real madrid and a la liga and champions league winner. Cole Palmer - 24 goals for chelsea, Ollie Watkins - 19 goals for Aston villa. Do you see the pattern? Harry Kane tripped over a Spanish orphan and has been cursed ever since.
No, but I think Harry Kane's problem is that he's Harry Kane. I don't know what it is, but as a Tottenham fan watching them now without him versus when they had him, they actually play like there's something on the line. Like they can lose at any moment. When we had Kane, they would act and play like they would win at any moment- not because of their ability, but because they know "Oh, Kane will get a goal somehow, from somwhere." Even Son looks 2x the player without Kane as the pressure is mostly on his shoulders now. Watching England in the euros, where was Bellingham? Where was Saka? Where was Foden? I think they thought the same thing, "Oh, well Kane will do it somehow if I can't." And Kane is freaking TIRED and you can see it, he's tired of being the guy. Honestly he should have waited a year and gone to a Real or a Barca, where he has wingers and midfielders that will support and score with him. At Bayern, pretty much everything is all on him again AND they're rebuilding.
Big rant, but I've watched Kane since his debut and as he's broke more records and scored more goals, he's been more relied on than supported. He needs support, not supply, there's a difference.
