I’m not sure how leases work and if the owner would allow it, but you should look into cutting trees and hinging trees in areas of your property to create more bedding, thicker woods, and natural regeneration like browse for the deer. Just a tip, i’ve found great success doing that, obviously along with food plots. persuade the deer to use your property
I would definitely plant a brassicas mixes and clover and anything you can think of in one field so it’s like a buffet in one big field!! And if you want to have the best deer hunting try to stay away from the duck hunting until after deer season
I just found your channel. (and sub'd) The dove power line video was recommended and I watched that. At first I thought you had purchased this property, but see that it is a lease. My recommendation, if at all possible, is to work towards purchasing the property sometime in the future. I say that from years (the past 30 to be exact) in dealing with personally leasing farm land and timber land for hunting. Last year I lost a 100 acre timber track that I had leased for 19 years. It had a 7 acre beaver pond and roosting pond on it that we shot ducks off of. It had wild hogs that we hunted regularly and it had deer too. A man that owned property bordering me told his realtor/broker to make my lease available for sale and he bought it. He told me this himself because I asked him if the land was listed for sale. All I received from the timber company leasing dept. was an email telling me that I'd get a partial refund as the property had been sold. This is just to say that I've experienced more than once where I've put a lot of hard work and time into a property only to be brought back to reality in that I don't own it. I still lease some properties, but I also worked to purchase 15 acres next to my hunting camp that I put a five acre dove field on. You can check it out as I have a lot of videos on the dove field on my channel. Check them out if you want to. I have one video that is called something like the making of my dove field.
