John, you're constantly saying that years from now people aren't gonna remember what team needs are. You're really eqauting Bowers with Konklin? Konklin is fine? You were ready to run him out of town a year ago. Why draft an OL that is even going to start when you have basically a one year window to compete for a title.?
So after watching Joel Klatt's review on him and I can't link from my phone.RUclips look him up.Last 8 SB winners all had a stud TE.You control the middle of the field you win championships.Used in the slot,no one can cover him, he's a quareented first down.I think a TE won rookie of the year last year.Danniel Jeremire raved about him.Gronk,Keelse,Kuper Kuff, all helped their teams win championships.Play him at slot and who is going to cover him,Hall,GW,and our newest FA when his knee is heeled. I want a trade down, get a # 2 pick and get that OT and a receier eith two.Their are 20 top wr in this draft.from Legget to Corley you won't go wrong
On the surface looking at pure yardage makes it easy to discount a TE getting yards as compared to the dime a dozen WRs. However understanding context is important with regards to the impact of a TE within the offensive gameplan. Otherwise every team would be running 3wr or even 4 wrs sets the majority of the time but its not happening. Having a dominant TE but especially a competent 12 personnel grouping allows the QB/OC to dictate favourable matchups by movement, deception and leveraging gaps because both the run and pass are viable options. It sets up the play action pass, and controls the middle of the field, zone defences are strained easily and the defence is in a constant dilemma. In the playoffs and cold weather having this in the back pocket becomes especially potent. Getting the critical 3rd down conversions whether through the air or ground becomes easier and in the RZ too.
Dude is not just a TE. I want O-line but wouldn’t be mad if we got bowers.
Going with the best available player is usually not a bad move. That is why I like Bowers. IF Nabers was available at 10 I would like that move too
@@wraynephew6838 totally would.

I like Bowers but I agree. TE is not the play here. OL is the best play. Get some quality depth at a premium position that will be around next season.
Bowers at 10. Lets go.
Three good picks for a ten with no real target? Potentially filling TWO needs? Yes, heck yes.

What’s this fanbases obsession with Brock Bowers? Honestly, WR, OL, QB.
Most Jet fans know better it’s the legacy sports media like ESPN that are pushing him on us
People are obsessed because Bowers is the best Tight end prospect in the draft. He grades as top 10 pick. Which is unusual for Tight ends
Fully agree with you fam there are WAY more elite tight ends that were taken in later rounds.
Jets are trash
