M. K. Čiurlionis - Miške / In the Forest (for two pianos)

This year I serendipitously found the music of the Lithuanian composer and painter, M. K. Čiurlionis. Although his work is widely influential and beloved within Lithuania, he remains relatively unknown internationally. His first symphonic poem “Miške” is magnificent and embodies everything I love about classical music.
This version is an arrangement by Jonas Eleksa, published by Music Lithuania, but slightly altered to accommodate my smallish hands and a synchronized performance in parts. I could not find any other previous performances of this arrangement so this may very well be the first time this has ever been recorded (which is super cool). I really enjoyed making this video and I hope that in sharing it, others can appreciate this wonderful music too.
