    This video beautifully displays the Trompowsky attack. But sadly, in 1936 Octavio Trompowsky attacked and slaughtered the creator of this video due to a cheating scandal. R.I.P.

    This is an uncommon tactic used mostly by grandmasters, but since it's considered a draw when your opponent dies in the middle of the match, grandmasters, when they're on a losing position, will often times kill their opponents. This tactic has been used mostly famously in 1570, when Magnus Carlsen killed Gary Chess, the inventor of chess, after realizing he was about to fall for the Fool's Mate.

    Against the Trompowsky I play c6. I don't know how many times my opponents have played e3 and allowed Qa5+, but it's a lot.

    What's to prevent pawn to h7 treating to take bishop after the pin on g5 ? Cause when ever I do pins with bishops they just threatened it with a pawn or some other chess piece

    9:06 they can play Qa3 attacking the bishop instead Bc3 we play Qc1 which is faster to trap the queen.
