"...well then...here we go...the long way round." --- Goodbye, Doctor... I love how triumphant and hopeful this version of Vale is, how bright and optimistic it is. He's got so much ahead of him. So many adventures, so many laughs and tears to shed. Even with all the trauma that will come later, we know it all works out in the end... ...we know because we've all collectively watched it over the last 60 years. Hartnell to Gatwa. Doctor Who will live on forever in all of us
There’s a little material at the beginning that sounds like a bridge between the silent night underscore and this. That might mean that both tracks were written as one 4-5 minute long piece before being separated in the episode edit. I hope we get to hear the whole thing one day. After all, this was, for a time, the final original piece Murray wrote for the show.
Hearing series 10 again makes me so hyped for the potential of doctor who going back to it's former musical glory. I miss Capaldi, and everyone who made the show feel loved. Been a long couple of years of bad writing decisions and underwhelming stories. Looking forward to seeing how everything goes from now on.
This is a live performance from the very recent Doctor Who @60 Musical Celebration, but it's performed by the actual BBC National Orchestra of Wales and isn't too far off from the TV version. :)
Oh, I didn't know that, thanks! On a sidenote, I really like the fact they changed the lyrics to ‘vale unus’, which is, well, more accurate for this scene.
I never thought the day would come that the chances of a Series 10 soundtrack would be on the horizon! This is absolutely glorious! It’s been over 6 years and I can’t wait for this most anticipated album to be finally released! 😭😭😭
@@Marshall-Ridez I’ve just come across it! I’m impressed that someone has actually covered Murray’s score for the last 3 episodes! Thanks for letting me know about it :)
All that i can say is... FINALLY! But in all seriousness, this has me excited. after 6 years, we are going to finally get a soundtrack for series 10 (hopefully).
Been checking constantly to see another one of your videos again! I’ve been coming back to your Murray Gold uploads for years. Just wanted to tell you thank you for all the videos you’ve pumped out over the years. Hope to give thousands of views to more in the future. ❤
Wait the lyrics are actually Vale Unus ? This was changed right ? I don’t recall the episode having this. Anyway it’s awesome. Also where can we find more recordings of this event ?
Yes this was changed! You can find more recordings on BBC sound website, sadly I can't link it otherwise RUclips auto-deleted the comment. It's called "Radio 2 Celebrates Doctor Who at 60". There are also several youtube channels that have uploaded the whole thing
To see the word "released" near a Series 10 track... I never thought I'd see the day.
Finally. The notoriety it deserves.
This is honestly one of the best track of the whole season. I'm so glad it got released first.

Murray Gold teased it recently!
He said it will come. We don't know when though. Hopefully before the 60th soundtrack.
@@The0thDoctor I hope every unreleased track comes out, series 7B and more that would be perfect. With it being on youtube music.

finally a released version, thank you so much, I would've never know they released this ☺
