To achieve greatness, you need to start working towards it. Investing remains the smartest way to prepare for the future. Been into this for 8years and I'm extremely pleased with the good returns. The good news is, it's never too late to start investing.
The first step to success is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance - either on your own or with the help of a financial advisor. If you can get the facts about savings and investing with a well detailed plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your income.
@williamkugler that's great, your investment advisor must be really good, I have seen testimonies of people using the help of investment advisors in making them more financially stable. Do you mind sharing more info on how to reach your advisor?
@williamkugler I appreciate you for sharing. Finding his handler was simple; he appears to be knowledgeable and adaptable. I drop him a message hoping he responds.
My Dad worked 3 jobs when he was in his teens to get ahead in life. To many people want it all these days without the working the weekends as Ted did to move up in life. My Wife is a CPA and I know how hard she had to work to earn that designation.
Great podcast! Been binge watching the show and enjoying very much. I am in my 40s and want to pivot to an accounting career. I plan to finish my degree part-time and pursue a CPA while working full time in an accounting job. I am hoping landing a higher paying job in accounting is my ticket to financial security🙏🏾
I retired at age 53. Your discussion was very much how I went through my work life. My attitude was take risks, but calculated ones to move up the salary ladder and what jobs are will be in demand in the near future. Great topic and discussion. As always 👍🇨🇦
Another unmentioned way to earn more is to speak openly about your salary and working conditions with fellow employees, organize, and join a labour union! If the disparity between wages and expenses over the last decade is so huge, it means there is an underlying systemic problem. Job hopping, re-skilling, relocating, and cutting personal spending will help some people who are fortunate to be able to do those things, but will not fix the root problem that's driving such a widespread disparity in the first place.
As you get older you would hope life financially should get easier IMHO. Your income should rise & your net worth should rise as you age. So this boils down to our citizens are not seeking the education they need to succeed in life. Life is a plan and so many people miss the boat.
When the education that employers seek costs $100k+ and people are already working 60-80 hours a week or more, education can be permanently out of reach

So I’m supposed to work 3 jobs for all eternity to afford a lesser quality of life than my parents had working 1 job? Kewl

In life, there are people who miss the boat of their own accord and people who watch the boat sink by someone else’s hand

Increase your income. I am answering the initial question only!
Unfortunately, easier said than done for most of us, but rarely hurts to try!
Maybe there needs to be a video for people who run a small business / self-employed. the income potential for a small business has more options.
Good stuff!
Great video dudes :)
Good
Do both.
