Lucked out on a number of plays, especially with the tipped pass at the line of scrimmage. Also gave him a huge cushion for most of the game.

@@rickyxroar even back then what are you talking about 😂 safety help has always been a thing. He didn't panick he just timed it wrong and that was a horrible penalty regardless. Champ made up for it with a pick and diving pass breakup. Champ won by far
Prime champ was one of the fastest guys in the league. He could tackle pretty well, decent hands, good awareness. Really outstanding player.
pretty well? he wasnt known for laying the wood but he was about as sure a tackler as that positions seen. Given his longevity and well-roundedness (strictly as a corner deion had the return game on him but champs run game and tackling were exponentially better) i think its not hard to argue hes the he best to ever do it
@@seneormoneybags a lot of people overlook baileys tackling when it comes to considering him as the best to do it. That’s why he’s #1 for me. He was the most well rounded CB in the game. Would cover anyone 1on1, blitz the QB, and not afraid to give out some hits

@@bsmith6191 woodson is number one for me. Dude did it all and was elite at safety and CB. Played like a linebacker in a lockdown CBs body. Best defensive back ever in my eyes
Champ was 11 yrs in the NFL but still ran toe to toe and basically lock down a fresh legs young D jack.
Champ is hands down the second best shut down CB behind Deion.

Champ really had over 6 picks and basically allowed 0 TD's in 06 or 07 and didn't win DPOY. That's pretty crazy
It's not crazy. It was just unfortunate timing. Jason Taylor won it that year and had 13.5 sacks, 2 ints and both for TD's, forced 10 fumbles and knocked down 11 passes.

You need to clarify in this video that Djax TD was NOT on champ. Didnt even see him anywhere near that coverage. Champ was a cheat code in the secondary for a decade....crazy feat

Come backs usually net 10 yard gains. Ten of those equal 100 yards. Everytime the chain moves an offense has new life ......being a wr is not just about going deep. But running routes and moving the sticks
The reason he is getting those come backs is because the corner backs off some. That means a fear factor is in play. As a former receiver I sensed that fear factor and exploited it.

All those throws to the dirt is the reason McNabb got sent to Washington. DJack would have beat him bad if Donovan had been on his game.
