We do something similar to the Trophies readers called Reading Street. I love having a book full of age appropriate reading in a bunch of different genres. I found one at a thrift store once and have bought them since.

Not this Tallahassee Mom doing a double take when you mention Wild Adventures! My kids go there all the time with a family friend.

Elemental phonics has been super fun for CVC practice! We are on level one audio after completing level one book only. We love how much practice we get.

We love going through the Abeka readers for 1st grade too because they really can be stretched out to K3 if you look at how simple they start and how hard they progressively get. So just like the Trophies, we are always just at arms reach for the next daily reader

Yes! Harcourt Trophies for the win. They are a great cost effective resource.
I'm so glad you mentioned inside out I was wondering about it. ❤

I love it all. We're not ready for the new school year either. Could you do a video on how you edit your daughters paper for IEW? I am going to use that for our writing this year and L.A isn't my strongest point. I love math. Thank you

I love when you share about your mom ❤. But y’all relationship is too funny! She has to drag you thrifting and now you have to drag her on field trips 😂!
I love how you use the standardize testing as a help and not a curse. I am adapting that mindset now. We used Fix It Grammar and had low score as well in testing. Keep sharing because you helped to calm my fear that I was failing my kids. When it was actually the curriculum we were using.

My son (4yrd old) has been coloring so much, he’s really good at it and proud of his work but now there’s so much paper 😅 Not to mention he usually draws the same characters over and over. I’ll have to let him go through and pick which ones are going in the trash

? Maybe you explained this and I missed it… but is the work you are putting out for them counting as last year’s work or this coming year’s work or is it just something to keep them using their brains during the summer break?
