I ordered Fix it Grammar from your links and already finished our 1st week. My boys are 8 and 10 and they are LOVING IT. I focused on them to master phonics, reading fluency and now they are more than ready to develop those grammar / writing skills. Perks of Homeschooling, no rush, no stress. Kiddos will learn and retain MORE when their brains are ready to master skills. Yes they worked before with nouns, verbs, adjectives etc. but this new phase where they need to FIX IT is so fun for them. We are Bilingual and finally I introduced them with Reading and Writing Spanish too because I want them to be fully fluent in both. Thank you again for all your videos and helping our community Brittany.
My favorite homeschooling Mom! Im so excited to see your picks. My daughter is starting 1st grade as well, and she has a speech delay. This is my 1st year homeschooling. im excited but also overwhelmed i want to make sure im covering all subjects and trying to figure out our schedule. I love your videos they've really helped me figure things out.
I am so happy you are sticking with All About Reading and letting your daughter dictate the pace. My son finished level 1 in this 1st grade year and we started on leve 2, but we have slowed way down. I am incorporating more days of reading BOB books with me on the couch, re-reading ones he struggled with for fluency, and being okay with getting a lesson done in 1-2 weeks. I have found with both of my kids that taking a break from structured reading curriculum over the summer, but purposefully incorporating more read alouds, more reading together on the couch, and having fun with our local library’s summer reading program really helps my kids’ reading skills to blossom. 🌼
My oldest is nearly done with AAR Level 1, and it's taken nearly a year and a half. His fluency really started to click when he started to review word flippers daily. I've kept all the word flippers and had him read 1 color each day. Once he masters a word flipper book, I take it out of circulation. Having him read a story or two each week from the older readers has helped build his confidence as well. This program has been amazing for him, and I'm completely open to working slowly through each level if necessary.
I have bought those dollar tree etch-a-sketches for years and they are amazing! I have also given many away to moms who are struggling with their kid in a store or mechanic shop, etc. I always tell them it’s a gift for them, not the kid and they are always so grateful. Love your videos!
Do you think all about reading is better than logic of English. I’m new to homeschool and I have a 5 year old who’s starting kindergarten. She knows all her sounds to the alphabet. Has trouble blending.
Aww, the 3D printing class sounds so fun! Love hearing about all the progress they're making. Both you and the girls have put in all the hard work to achieve these milestones.
Congratulations on your good news with your youngest progression in speech therapy. 💕🥳 When my daughter graduated from speech therapy, I felt like a weight was lifted. 😊
I just absolutely love your videos and your charisma on homeschooling☺️ It really is hard to keep up and hold yourself accountable to wake up earlier and get everything prepped & ready for the day. I also have been doing the JDA math workbook for my 3yo and she’s thriving I love her stuff!
Love it! My 4 year old is also doing preschool math at home and I feel they same way about it, can't believe we are almost done with it and our preschool year! 🥰 She also picked the same little drawing thing from dollar tree and writes on it sometimes! We have been using the good and the beautiful preschool for her preschool year and I'm really happy with it, but cant believe we're almost done and going to be starting Kindergarten this Summer! 😍 It has gone so fast!!!
I feel so inspired after seeing your videos. Thank you for all those great reminders during curriculum season. I am also struggling with discipline and consistency is not great over here😅 Can you share your daily rhythm? Also, when you are working with one, what are the other kiddos doing? I am having issues with screens with ny kiddos so I need to work on that as well 😅
Hi Brittany question for you hopefully you see this in regards to Oak Meadow. Have you ever tried the math? Do you know anyone that has it looks really good any feedback ??
We're looking at jumping into IEW for 5th in the fall with SSA. Do you think the teacher training is useful/needed? Have you done it or did you just start IEW? Thanks!
I ordered the other day IEW Fix it Grammar 1 with teacher manual for my boys (8 and 10 yo). At this age they are more than ready to grasp all grammar related and I can't wait to start.

Your videos are so helpful. What do you use to print out the book covers and photos you guys put in the notebooks? I love that idea!

Do you have a Math with Confidence video?
Hi Brittany question for you hopefully you see this in regards to Oak Meadow. Have you ever tried the math? Do you know anyone that has it looks really good any feedback ??
So happy for all the progress!! Can't wait to see your picks! I'm curious if you are continuing OM 7th grade math along with MUS. :o)
What is that book basket behind you 👀 I think I need one
My mom got it for me at Home Goods !!! I love that thing 🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing!
Love your videos! You are so encouraging to me!
“Homeschool Super Bowl season” lol 🤣😍👍
Are you continuing Math U see with the littles in edition to Math with Confidence?
Yes 🙌🏽 we are sticking with MWC for my littles 😍
How do you like oak meadow? I was looking at the sample and it looks a little overwhelming
I love it!!! It was overwhelming at first look but once I got into it it became easy to plan each week. 😍
Does Oak Meadow incorporate the art lessons or is that something you plan and find on your own?
Yes ! At the end of each lesson or week there is an art lesson or topic she can chose from !!! 😍
