How does this guy read the teleprompter?
Lol! Your guess is as good as mine!
I was in volcano Hilo when this hit everything was shaking
What time was it felt here in Ca
the one from Hawaii was not felt in CA.
Malibu had it's own today. Might have felt that one.
We got a big one here in SoCal too, the time was 1:47pm PST.
You felt it too? It said it was a 4.7 in malibu. Im like around two hours away from malibu and i felt it.
earthquake.usgs.gov/data/dyfi/
Felt it in Santa Ana , pretty good shake
4.6 is not big
That wasn’t an earthquake. It was Newsom taking a dump on the taxpayers
I live in a tall 40 story condo in Honolulu. I felt it immediately.
You live on a bomb , those islands are on top of volcanoes.
😮 Eye will be outta there like yesterday. Can u get a flight out?
That's great...we might have to stay with you for a while
Ooh! What is that like? I imagine being in an air tight Jell-O mold, in a wave machine
@MajICReiki that's Accurate. I lolive on the 33rd floor of my building and it felt like a brief jolt. Was lying in bed and felt a rumble that lasted about 2 or 3 seconds. Could hear dishes rattle a bit in the cabinets....had it been a major event I probably would've pissed myself knowing I'm basically stuck in the building for better or for worse
Watch out for those coconut trees! 🌴😁
Lmao
We dealt with tornados, wildfires, and floods. But are we ready for The Big One?
Big X flare on the sun recently so no surprise an earthquake followed. Hope you're ok Hawaii!
Earthquake in Hawaii and LA today
was this the same time as the LA earthquake?
I think they were a couple of hours apart.
Coincidence. A magmatic quake in the Kilauea magma dome could not cause or be caused by a tectonic quake 2,500 miles away on the Pacific plate's boundary.
Why don’t you say when and what time!!???
there's an app for that
@@nalukeko The app used to be called “journalism.”
10:06 AM Hawaii Time yesterday
Here in HPP It was a hard shake but only lasted about 3 to 4 Sec.
🙏🙏🙏
Florida and California got earthquakes today too.
Florida?? Got an earthquake?
@@femalewarrior125 I believe yesterday but yes, 100 miles off cape canaveral's coast
@@femalewarrior125 Yes, a 4.0 100 miles off the coast of Orlando
Wow… interesting… thanks for answering!
And Australia yesterday. Getting weird
I live in LA I wonder if all that water sinking into the cracks will loosen up the soil and make more earthquakes likely.
We had a 4.6 in LA a little before this quake. It was similar in that it wasn't a quick jolt, it was a rolling quake that lasted more than 10 seconds. I have not heard of any damage here, just another LA Day after the flooding.
Lived in Pahala....wow interesting lovely town.
Russia under water nuclear test
Lovely town? Hahaha
@@paigeherrin29yeah? HAHAHAHA
We're ok, thanks for reporting. Aloha
*felt a slight tremble today from California*
I meant oh God, cone quickly , Jesus they need you now ..
I was driving south from Hawi and felt NOTHING 😮
My first earthquake surprised me " I moved from California and I ain't felt not one trimmer since " back then you didn't know how long it would last I mean they could tell you how bad the earthquake would be but not how long it would be.
Earthquake today at Thousand Oaks,Ca was at 4:47 PM today.
This is 2:47 PM Hawaii time.
Hawaii had their quake at 3:06 PM. That's 19 minutes after the Ca one.
I just thought I would point this out.
How about the one off the coast of Florida also today
So weird and one in Florida coast and Australia within 24 hours. I’m in Florida and that’s wild
When Mars and Pluto dance Revolution, Earthquakes and Volcanos cheer! Hold on people…lol
Have safe packs ready you never know when you need it. The earthquakes happened in Ishikawa Japan on Jan 1st Tsunami het the land in 2 minutes. Please be aware always. Aloha from Japan.
DEWs
🏖 Felt it for 5 seconds on Oahu around 10:07AM
4.6 hits Malibu, Ca this afternoon too.
Oprah again
Earthquake volcano meh nothing new. Stay safe folks
Ring of fire!
Hawaii is in the dead center of the Pacific plate, nowhere near the Ring of Fire as California is. Hawaii's volcanoes are caused by a hot spot (magma dome) that the Pacific plate moves over. This is why the Hawaiian islands are sort of lined up, and the island of Hawaii is just where the magma dome is now in relation to the plate. Millions of years ago, the hot spot created Kauai, Oahu, Maui, then Hawaii in that order. If you look at Hawaii on Google Earth or Maps in satellite mode, you can see a chain of bumps, called sea mounts stretching from Hawaii to Russia. It's cool to see how the plate has moved over the eons - there's even a bend in the chain where the Pacific plate changed direction about 80M years ago. In the far future, Kauai will erode away into a seamount, and there will be a new "Big Island", as the island Hawaii will start to erode and shrink.
On blg island ❤we felt it!
I knew i felt something
Stay safe everyone!!
It’s so weird, earthquakes are everywhere and becoming the norm.
They've always been the norm. Earthquakes are constantly happening every second around the world.
perhaps their being manipulated by something
In the Bible. Read it.
@@user-rl7mt4gh3o yup it's called plate tectonics and magma.

wrong answer thats not what i had in mind
Just had one in the la area ( malibu) 4.7 it shook pretty hard
Felt it out here in Montclair
Wow I live in Texas and sometimes we get earthquakes but thankfully I haven't been in one. Stay safe.

Hello Hawaii. I’m in Florida and we had one yesterday off the East coast. Hope everyone is ok. Aloha. 🤙
Is the teleprompter too close?
I thought i was tripping out i just pray it dont happened big lord protect us pls 🙏
Was in my truck and saw a few bowling ball sized rocks come rolling into the road , thought must be an earthquake..
It felt the same way here in Bellflower Ca. I felt it coming from a distance before it rolled the house!
you felt the one in malibu
Indeed I did. I’m aware that they were separate, but the way the guy described it in Hawaii is how I felt the one from the Malibu area.
Felt it too in Artesia. I thought my cat was running!
@@sodaratieng9507
That's what my boyfriend thought when we had a 5.1 in NC. Blamed it on the cats 😂

A mere squirm. The 6.7 a few years back shook the place about one mile from the epicenter.

I've has several nightmare's lately of Massive West coast Earthquake's beginning this summer!! Also Mt St. Helen's erupts again in 2025!!!
I live in Corona CA, and I felt it!
you felt the one in malibu
I HAVE LIVED ON THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII 16 YEARS NOW AND THIS IS THE BIGGEST MOST LASTING EARTHQUAKE I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. I LIVE IN WAIMEA, JUST NORTH OF MAUNA KEA. I WAS SITTING AT MY COMPUTER IN MY COMPUTER ROOM WHEN IT HIT. THINGS WERE COMING OFF SHELVES ALL OVER THE APARTMENT. EVEN MY ELECTRIC MONO-WHEEL THAT WEIGHS 80 POUNDS FELL FORWARD.
Oh wow you guys got hit hard there. Where is north of maunakea? The resort or the Mauna? Lucky you didn’t feel the one we had in 2006…that was the worst. The epicenter was in Puako measured 6.9 and the north side (Kohala, Waikoloa, Honokaa) had so much damage, my house was bad shape- toilets cracked, water heater line/pipe detached from wall, everything came flying out of kitchen cabinets, garage door came off and hanging. This one zero damage. All is well 😊 Hope not too much damage for you.
WAIMEA, NEAR HONOKAA.@@kalanikumartinez
Me too. I live in Captain Cook. I was scared. The sound it made, sounded like a freight train running through.
😮WOW! 😲
See they like to downplay all this. I knew it, that's why it's good to hear from people that are there
Don't count on any aid...all went to Ukraine
America last, bro! We must vote for our interests!
This is the first time I have heard this.
It's nothing I live here. Yes we had an earthquake for about 10 seconds but it did not cause damage.
My wife told me she felt it, I was surfing at the time so I can say no tsunami occurred ;-)
Btw, is it me or does that news anchor have weird eyes?
yes
Yyyyepp...
I’m on the big island and felt it, about 40+ miles from the epicenter (which was Kīlauea Volcano). It was a mild long rumbling, at least 20 seconds or more and just one loose item fell off the shelf… It’s not uncommon to have the quakes but this one was unnerving. 😅
Stay safe.
It was in Pahala 😊
@@paigeherrin29 I know. I am 40+ miles away. 🤙🏽
@@timothycoleman8916 mahalo 🤙🏽 we’re good 😊
@@kalanikumartinez I teach at Kau and Pahala School. We dove under the lab benches. It seemed to last a long time but no damage other than a few glass cylinders in the prep room
I felt it at 10:06 AM during g my music class
Woah
Lots of military craft were flying prior to events. Coincidence or not, anything is possible
We're SURE the quake was caused by Jewish Space Lasers, supplied (of course!!!!) by George Soros, or maybe Cezar Chavez . . . (really?)
What a rush! I felt it! I yelled “we are going to mars baby!” Car alarms going off. Aloha
I know huh! It’s unfortunate how they do damage but I’ve been loving them in LA Cali for 56yrs !!!
ALERT!!!!!!!! CALIFORNIA GULF. BE SAFE.
And what is the present status at the volcano?? I guess you forgot about the volcano.
Keep the rock away 😂😂
America can't catch a break 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The big one is imminent.
I live near naalehu.. it was quite a shake grabbed my son and went outside, but honestly pretty similar to what we get around here on the regular. We live on mauna loa... these things happen
I plan on visiting big island march 1st. These earthquakes are something that happen often? Or should I be concerned and replan everything
I'm glad I live in texit but you gotta think they're on a active volcano
Where is "Texit?"
My mom was sitting in her chair in our house in Volcano, and it knocked the dog off her lap and the table over. I was miles away in Hilo town sitting on a bench and it knocked me off the bench. We have lots of earthquakes here, but I this is the first time I have felt some thing like this! Eō Pele❤🌋
😮Holy cow
Eō Pele!!
Loihi is growing 🌋🤙🏽
God is angry
I thought it was the margarine sales lady on TV.😊
What ? First announcement by the Earthquake center said 6.3 , I felt it !
More then a hour later revised to 5.7 ?
Huh? It shows you no one really knows for sure.
That earthquake lasting for over 10 seconds to me…with two jolts one after another…Aloha
Nothing to see, move along. Don't be alarmed it's only a 5.7, not a 6.3???????? BS.
I've lived 67 years in Florida & they do the same thing with hurricanes. Apparently, they take all the readings/models & find a medium. Who knows.
As soon as I see George Stephanopoulos face at the end of this video I realize how much ABC sucks
Has the lava started flowing yet?
Wow! I remember a 5.7, when I was in grammar school, in San Francisco. I THINK that it lasted about 45 seconds. "Too much, too long."
Hoping that those in Hilo can recover, and relax.
🤣🤣
My chickens got worried but i think they are fun. Weeeee
The Hawaii paper said the Big Island of Hawaii registered 6.3. I felt it. Now, Oahu may have registered at 5.7.
Woah! You alright?
They downgraded it almost immediately
A😂😂😂
I did not feel anything. : - \

Never been through a quake before, well except for a tremmer, that was recorded as a 2.1 if I remember right, it only lasted for maybe 3 seconds. I thought it was a truck going by, I found out later what it really was.
5.7 is big enough to cause cracks in walls and make brick walls fall over. A 6.4 like LA in 1994 is big enough to walk houses off of their foundations and collapses all kinds of buildings.
The number of earthquakes is increasing rapidly every year. More and more often they occur in atypical places. In 1960, there were 16,000 earthquakes; in 2011, there were 31,000; and in 2023, there were almost 400,000 (!) earthquakes in one year.
Explore what is happening to the planet now and what we can do to save ourselves and humanity: *"Global* *Crisis.* *The* *Responsibility"* *Creative* *Society*
Yep, I remember reading about the increase of earthquakes in the bible. I'm starting to believe that it's far more real than any other record of history.
There's also significantly more people and better recording practices of seismic activity since 1960...
Also there were about 15,600 earthquakes in 2023, I don't know where you got the 400,000 number?
you think theres a earth crust displacement?
Ya let's act like it's not normal lmao. Y'all need to sign a document saying you want your taxes paying for climate change which has been happening since the planet has been around. I don't want my money going in their pockets. They steal enough for their dirty deeds
This is where the volcano 🌋 is. Time to leave.
I cant take this host serious, i keep bursting in laughter cause he looks like hes making a crossed eyed face 💀 im so stoned
