It’s amazing how the Japanese have built their buildings to withstand earthquakes. That parking garage was visibly wiggling, as were all the cars swaying dramatically, but it didn’t collapse.

I believe that the many thoughtful comments about Japan will encourage the victims of this disaster. I would like to thank you here on their behalf. Since the affected area is in the middle of winter and heavy snowfall, it is especially difficult to spend time in shelters at night, and the level of requests for assistance is expected to be very high. I am sure that many people will start to call for donations and volunteers for the reconstruction of the affected areas, and I would be very grateful if you could give them a little bit of your heart.

The whole world needs to learn discipline from Japanese people. I was staying in Japan for four months.Tsunami is the most dangerous natural phenomenon still, Japanese people and children follow all the rules they often practice. Staying calm and attending to group needs is their number one rule.
In the western world end of year sales are much more chaotic than life and death situations in Japan.

In Japan, people have been trained since childhood on what to do in the event of an earthquake. Even so, in an earthquake larger than 5 on the Japanese seismic scale, it is difficult to even stand or move. Quickly bend over and keep your center of gravity low. However, the real fear is the tsunamis, fires, landslides, etc. that will occur afterwards.
