Great job Freddy, you did it. This works for me in the Florida heat and you might consider it. I always wear sunglasses so it looks like I am running in the shade and no squinting. I get my head, hair and hat totally wet before the run and whenever possible add water to to my hat and hair. If your head is evaporating heat, it is bloody cooling, Cool heads will prevail.🏖⛲
Well done Freddy Runs! PB well and truly smashed. I made a cameo too, cheering you on at 7:13 😁. I found that course hilly and energy sapping, so I think you did phenomenal to smash your PB like that. Keep up the great videos and great running 👏 🙌
Congratulations ! I saw this on Strava and in the pre-view mode. It was part of my motivation for my first ever Half in in Ottawa today. The 2:10 pacer was amazing and I surprisingly had a colleague by my side until km18 as well. She took off then and I tried about 1-1.5 km later and got an official 2:07:08. Thanks for the challenge. I am too toast to watch today's 30 minute video...I
@@freddyruns We have a local one here every year Freddy, called the Waterford Viking Marathon, I'll aim for the half section of that . . it's actually coming up at the end of next month but there's not a hope I'm ready for it, I only done my first 6k yesterday lol So next year will be the one, if all goes well 👍👍
Funny enough, when I started I saw your Mrs stood to the side with a camera and wondered if you might be doing the half. Then I saw you put out the 10k video! It was a good morning for it wasn’t it!
@@freddyruns yeah it was chilly when we started which was perfect. Roker Park was tough and I only did that at 6k! Can only imagine how hard it was at 15k. Is the route tougher than GNR?
@@freddyruns Maybe try Redcar Half 22nd September. It's on roads and pretty flat but exposed being on the seafront, so you have to keep your fingers crossed that it's not too windy.
@@freddyruns yes mate I’m one ultra down next one is up your neck of the woods Carlisle to Newcastle. Just getting back on top of the videos it’s surprisingly time consuming didn’t know what I had gotten myself into. When I can keep up with you I’ll have to come up for one of your social runs :)

Cheers Scott! How are things with you mate?
Well done Freddy, was a warm 1 but at least the full sun kept hidden until near the end. The course was definitely up and down so a fab PB👏
Thanks Marc, yeah we got lucky that day 😊
Well done mate! Outstanding effort, and good to see Chris and Kayleigh cameo too as you flew past!
Thanks mate! 😊
At 10k/58 mins, you said: "THE PB IS ON". What a Buzz when you said that mate. Even more nailing it. You shouted for a 2: 10 and beat that YASSSSS
Thanks mate, I definitely knew I had it at that point - but didn’t know by how much. Last 3k was a slog though!
Absolutely annihilated it! Well done you 👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😀
Smashed it! Looked like a fun race as well. Great effort, well done for hanging on at the end when it got tough.
Thanks mate, highly recommend this one - was a really fun day

Brilliant running Freddy. You should be so proud of your progress! I see 2 hours falling soon! Recover well.
Thank you mate! 😊
Watched this again mate. Epic run with brilliant splits. That last hill before the finish was a sapper of strength but you pushed on 🏅
Cheers Dean, yeah - the hill at the end was definitely a character builder! 😊
Well done Freddy. Really good run. 👏👏

Great job!🎉
Thank you Kirsty! 😊
Really enjoyed the vlog. I ran Newcastle-Gateshead and Sunderland and really enjoyed both. Super run and time 👏👏
Thanks Dean! Which did you find tougher? I thought Sunderland felt like it definitely had more elevation
@@freddyrunsI definitely enjoyed the weather for Sunderland 😀 The sea fret was so cooling. I agree, Sunderland was a little tougher.
Smashed it! Great PB buddy
Cheers Al! 😊
7:18 - me pretty much 200 meters into any run haha. well done Freddy, fantastic running 🙂
Hahaha 🤣
Thanks mate!
Wow, great run Freddy. I did the 10k and that was tough so that's an amazing time. Congrats on the PB

Definitely tougher than GNR. I expected to be easier than Gateshead - it wasn’t!!
Congrats on the PB and for breaking 2:10:00
Thanks David! 😊
Well done! It was a funny twisty course with lots of hills so you’ll soon beat this PB
Need to find a flat one next 😊
