I think this is by far the best looking instrument they've ever made - sounds fabulous too. I may have to pony up on this one, just have to figure out what lie to tell my Wife.....
Sounds gorgeous! Nice headstock too!
Me thinks RJ could make one of those plastic kiddie guitars with Mickey Mouse on it sound sweet!
Thank you RJ for your unwavering passion for the guitar.
I just got mine last night and love it!! Did a livestream unboxing last night. I can't say enough great things about this guitar! It's my new daily driver, for sure! Can't wait to make some songs with it! Even the gig bag is superb! My first Eastwood, and I'm thoroughly impressed! Great job! 🤘😜
OMG, that is sweet. RJ is one sweet player.
Eastwood did a really nice job on this guitar. Their guitars are really top notch in terms of quality. I own the Eastwood GP and it is one of the nicest built guitars I own.
Other than botching the hardware last minute, switching from chrome to gold "by mixup"
Eastwood have been making some of the most innovative guitars for years and everyone sleeps on them.
Very true! But this one's just a tribute to a $10000 guitar
I couldn’t agree more!!!
Innovative copies...
Until oddist elaborates, we shall all collectively agree to mark their reply as invalid.
Terrific, do everything guitar, and do it well! Switching is well though out and simple. One guitar for many genres. Your demo is, as always, superb. Thanks!
only WOW is wht i can say !!! so amazing !!!
Great guitar & Mr. Ronquillo remains the "Go-To Guitar Man"...
Finally! My chance to own a Languedoc (sort of)
Also I think you should talk them into making a solid or semi body of this guitar love the head design 😍
Looks awesome! Except for the gold hardware.
Great video/demo...best one of seen of any 'tribute' guitar ever. You guys..vid/aud/talent/mktg...all of it...you NAILED IT. Hats off.
Nice playing!
I see what you did there with that intro...Tweezer
It was the copyright-friendly version lol :-)
@@ericseader414 just a tad.
RJ is a master and this new Eastwood is fantastic sounding. Would like to get my hands on one to try it out.
That's a sweet guitar!
Would RJ, please share his setup? Amp, pedals etc. My TA-PH is supposed to be here in Sept. or Oct. Can't wait.
Tons of tones there
Sigh - if only they made a left-handed version. I have the Phred copy, but it fell apart in less than 6 months. Would be cool if they made a Koa version too. :-)
Great looking and sounding guitar (although RJ could make my daughters pink mini strat sound incredible). I wonder how it compares to the Dockstar by phred. Anyone had the chance to hold or play both? If so, how do they compare as far as build quality? Based on pics and demos I've seen, the Eastwood looks like the nicer guitar, but I wonder how they compare as far as feel, tone, playability, etc.
I read a review of this guitar on reverb last night (currently the only review). It was a very unfair 2 star review and it read like the reviewer had never touched one of these guitars. They said the Phred was superior, but i suspect the review was written by Phred himself....
I will be selling me PRS and my tele to buy this Eastwood. I have to have it.
when i had that ad on facebook i was not sure it was legit... but it really seem (or iam dreaming?)
would love to hear how it sounds acoustically or the amp signal combined with a mic on the guitar like trey has done in the studio
I did a live unboxing last night, so you can kinda hear it. (though nowhere near the performance RJ is playing here) Sounds great in person!
@@AndrewBonicaRR thanks
Just a little curious on this sample at 3:43 I heard what sounded like line buzz and hoping it wasn't coming from the guitar pickups. Anyone else get that?
Sounds like just the hum of the amp. I just got one of these last night and did not notice any noise while running it through Helix.
If that guitars on 1500 what a deal andgresttribute mostly great job
Which hi gain pedal do you always use for your guitar reviews
R. I. P. Gibson.
Are these guitars still available from Eastwood ?
yes! eastwoodguitars.com/products/classic-6-ta-ph
Get it. You won't regret it! I love mine!!!
I just took delivery of a tobacco sunburst model ! It's an excellent guitar. All the best to you and enjoy !
@@blackiejames1843 Awesome! Let me know if you post a video. Would love to see it! I got the natural. One of the most well-made guitars I've ever seen. Enjoy yours as well!
Thanks !
It’s in Em
but wheres the Chalkdust around 7:00 ?
Its width is chunky, the tail piece isn't Paul's it's definitely made to look like tge guitar made for Trey
yeah that 's why it's called the Trey Anastasio model...
Sic doc knock..me wants
Looked into this. The problem is that they put a small block under the bridge to prevent feedback. A huge selling point for a Languedoc is that infinite sustain you can get if you tame the feedback. I'm sure this is a beautiful guitar, but it has the same issue the PRS Hollowbody has, which is it's not a true hollowbody. Going to try a Phred dockstar and see how that goes.
Check out RM Olsen Languedoc copies. He's making one now that has the bent sides and voilin bracing, no block under the bridge. Exact replica of the Oscelot
@@markredsicker9392check out Equator Instruments! David Coleman makes a true hollowbody with all the bracing. They are great guitars!
It doesn’t effect the sound and the Phreds, etc. have a small bracing too
I want to order one but with a fat neck, slim necks make me crazy
I heard that trey is using an Eastwood in 2021 and not using that junk his buddy from school made.
Hardware has been copied I doubt it's made completely with bracings
if it was made with bracings it wouldn't be $1500 which would defeat the entire point of the guitar
it's not thick enough.
an eastwood not even close langudoc knockpff with that nice wanna be but cheap look
If this guitar is made where I think it is,then it's absolutely not a cheap instrument.
Sounds like you own the original and are trying to justify the idiotic price. We’ve all been there 😂
