    Going into my second year as a sophomore at SF State as a pre-nursing major, here are some useful tips or advice to survive at SF state your first year :) utilize the school gym and the library because Freshmen 15 will hit you really hard and quick, I learned that the hard way. Also, there's no way in heck you're going to study in your dorms, that's physically and mentally impossible to achieve. So why not take advantage of the library. If you're going to major in public health, you better not slack off because the grades do truly matter if you want to get accepted into those major. I know this sounds stressful and all, but you can also have fun, I don't mean go to a party every weekend, please don't do that. Just focus 50% on academics and 50% on having fun your freshmen year, since your first year is about exploring yourself and making new friends and just try to go out and explore the city of San Francisco with your friends. But, having good grades your first year will help you succeed in the future because it will help you develop a good structure with your time management and sorts in terms of academics. I hope all of this helped and hope ya'll incoming freshmen enjoy your freshmen year at SF State :)

    For housing, you can either live on campus or off campus, it’s honestly a personal preference :) Dorms are pretty expensive, but are a great place to make friends but if you want to save money, even though the rent in San Francisco is high, you can still find apartments in San Francisco for 900 per month or less, but you are going to have to a lot of searching :)

      HOW DO I FIND AN APARTMENT THAT CHEAP

    • @whoknowswhocares885
      @whoknowswhocares885 Год назад +3

      Ok. Problem there is, apartments that cheap are broom closets and in neighbor hoods where you’ll get rob.

  • @Ramsey_H

    Academic wise, you’ll do just fine. Just don’t procrastinate and slack off too much. Skipping a few classes is fine and all, just don’t make it as a habit. This is a commuter school. Making friends shouldn’t be that difficult. Just don’t try to force friendships, those never goes well :) that’s my advice on how to survive your freshmen year LOL 😂

      Nancy Sanchez I’m not too sure about full rides and how they work at SFSU but if you are low income I’m pretty sure you will get enough financial aid to have a “full ride”. I am from a low income household and my tuition is paid for through grants and FAFSA!

      UNDER CONSTRUCTION I know out of state tuition is a lot more. You can find more information on the SFSU website try searching “SFSU out of state tuition” I don’t believe that should effect your rent. Book prices vary by subject most science and math books are more expensive than humanities books! Let me know if you have any other questions
