Good evening....... subscriber from india .I want to become marketing consultant pls make a video or suggest here the steps to become the same I am unable to know exact path from internet
Hi!! I can make a video describing my career path! It might be slightly different from a marketing consultant but happy to share more details!
Thank u!
Definitely missed your travel vlogs!! I recently went on a trip & during all my mishaps, I thought about you cause you always made it an adventure when things went wrong lol!! Loved this!
Lol there's always something!! Where did you go?
Hello, I need your help. How can I connect with you?
Hi! What's your question?
@@deys_day 1) What roles should a marketing fresher student target in marketing? 2) which is better for career growth b2b or b2c? 3) In which sector companies have more opportunities for marketing freshers? 4)How many domains are there in marketing in which freshers can make a career?
@@Vaibhav-Gosavi 1. Target roles that peek your interest! Entry level roles that may be more achievable for someone early in their career are Marketing Assistant, Social Media Coordinator, Digital Coordinator, PR Assistant, anything in social media is helpful! 2. It all depends on what you want to do in your career! Either is great for career growth. 3. Start ups are always looking for talent that is eager to learn and grow. Start ups are a great way to build your resume but the work/life balance is not always the best. 4. What are your referring to when you say "domains"? You can start your career in marketing wherever you choose, social media, branding, communications, it just depends on what you are interested in!
@@deys_day When people hear the word marketing, they only talk about social media marketing or digital marketing. What are the career opportunities in marketing other than social media marketing and digital marketing? In which fresher will get an entry level job. Which skills are required for that. I can't find proper information about this on the internet. Your feedback will be very important to me. I am eagerly waiting for your reply.
I start a job as a marketing associate tomorrow and I’m a mom and I don’t know how it will go, plus I run a business! 🥵 hopefully it goes right😅
OMG you go girl!! I'm sending you all the good vibes!
@@deys_day thank you 😍😍
This brought me back to when I was living in Amsterdam a few years ago. It's such a great city - especially the fact that you can see the almost the whole country within a 1 -2 hour train ride from Central Station. Keep exploring! btw I make films and recently filmed a cinematic travelogue in Europe and a documentary about an aspiring painter in Sweden. If you have a moment, I'd appreciate you taking a look, thank you!
Yesss! I love that about the Netherlands :) I will definitely give your documentary a watch, feel free to link it here!
Right now, I’m thinking about what I want to do in the future and I thought this job seems to be interesting. But I do have a few questions. Does this job require a lot of social skills? Do you need to hold presentations or do you need to talk a lot?
That is such a good question/ thing to consider!! Personally, I am very introverted/shy when I'm in new settings or around new people so I do sometimes struggle with the fact that there is public speaking involved and a lot of social interactions. However, I think you can find people you are comfortable with anywhere you go! When it comes to presenting, no one knows the material better than you so you just have to be confident. Short answer is yes, you can expect to present and be in settings that require you to be social. I think it all comes with practice! Hope this helped :)
Congratulations on the promotion. I'm about to start my journey in marketing events and I am enjoying your insight!
Thank you! Good luck with marketing events, I'm sure you will have so much fun!!
I am sorry that you had to go through catcalling and coming across a very intrusive person like that. However, that is not a 'is Erasmus safe?' question (name of the part of the video where you talked about this) but a 'is Rotterdam a safe city?' question; right? NYU might be safe but New York might not be, in some parts, or the other way around. Especially as an American person who knows cities that are dangerous but where people flock to when deciding on where to live all too well, you should consider, that this is not the same.
Hi, do you have facebook so I can ask you questions?
Yes! You can message me on Instagram: deys_day
Do you have tips on landing an internship? What did they look for when you were starting out?
That's a really great question! I have both been an intern and hired interns so I THINK I can give you a fairly honest answer. When I was an intern, I was taking an internship class at SFSU. This class required you to get an internship for credits so I used that as my reasoning for looking for an internship and it really helped me get interviews. The people looking for interns liked that even though they were not paying me, I was still being graded, therefore I had a reason to perform well. When I was hiring interns, I looked for someone who was motivated, interested in growing beyond their internship role, and was genuinely interested in Marketing. This showed me that this was someone who was going to go above and beyond because they were eager to learn. A cover letter would probably help you show that to the hiring manager! Skills that I would include on a resume are organizational skills, strong communication, attention to detail, understanding of microsoft programs, and anything that indicates you are a fast learner. Hope this helps!!
Welcome back!
Thank you!!
Congratulations on your promotion! Currently, I'm entering my junior year of college with a focus on pursuing a career in Marketing. Your job sounds great, and hearing your enthusiasm for your daily tasks has further sparked my interest. Marketing offers a wide range of niches to explore, and I'm in the process of narrowing down my options to align with my long-term goals. Specifically, I'm drawn to marketing within the realms of health and wellness, food/drinks, and sustainable lifestyle businesses. I find brand strategy and management intriguing which seems to be similar to what you are doing if I am not mistaken. I don't know if I like the idea of social media marketing because I don't want to be on socials everyday and was curious how much interaction with social media such as TikTok, IG, Twitter, etc. do you have in your position? Please let me know if you have any valuable tips or advice for someone who aspires to build a similar career path? Thank you for taking the time to read my long message, I am very passionate about learning this industry LOL !
Hi, thank you so much for your questions! I am always happy to answer questions lol You are correct, my role is more brand management than specific to things like PR or social. Of course, when you are overseeing a brand, you are involved in the PR campaigns and approving content/discussing social strategy for the brand. This will also very by company. The company I work for works with agencies for all things social and PR. Meaning we let the agencies come to us with a strategy/plan and we approve what we think is the best fit. From there, the agency executes. Prior to this role, I did have a social media role. It was fun because of the brand and the audience. You can be very creative with it! However, I had a lot of social media roles and I was always more interested in brand management than creating content. I would encourage you to seek internship opportunities in the industries you are interested in! If for whatever reason you cannot get an internship in these industries, start building your marketing resume in other ways by interning with smaller companies who are in need of marketing interns. Experience is soooo important when it comes to getting an entry level position so I would really encourage you to apply for internships if your schedule permits it! When interning, always show interest in becoming an employee after your internship, that will help you even more! Lastly, I know you said you are not super interested in managing social accounts but I think that is something that small companies really need help with so it might be an easier way to get your resume started. Someone who is really good with social media is someone who understands a brand's voice, audience, and strategy. So, if you can get some experience in social media, you can definitely use that to your advantage in future interviews! I hope this helps!!
@@deys_day Hi, thank you! Yes, I don't mind doing social media and I actually find it intriguing but for my long-term career goals, I don't want to just create content, so brand management/strategy sounds more up my alley. I am currently interning as a PR/Marketing intern for The Borgen Project and just had another interview for a nutrition internship position at my college, so I am crossing my fingers that I can get that! I like how you linked social media to experiences that could be used in Brand Management and thank you for the info, it was very helpful.' I hope you don't mind if I ask you other questions in the future because I may come up with some lol! Thank you again and great videos!
@@emilylaurenb5577 That's amazing! I hope you hear back soon if you haven't already! I am always happy to answer your questions so please ask as they come up :)

Hi there superb posts
How do you budget for furnishing your first home?
I tried buying things during Cyber Monday/Black Friday. After that, if I see something I like at Target or Walmart, I check to see if it's available on Amazon for less. Usually these stores price match. Lastly, I focus on buying the essentials first like a couch, kitchenware etc. Decor you can usually find for less at Home Goods, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx. Hope this helps!
@@deys_day good tips! Thank you! Currently going through a similar process and it takes time!

I studeis marketing and i want to ask you what should I learn to work as a Marketing assistant and what skills do i need ? I neeed to hear from you I would be soo greatfull and thankfull of you in advance... This videos is soooooooooo usefull ❤️🌹..
Hi!! I would say the top things people look for at this level is someone who is organized, can follow deadlines, and is willing to learn. Seek as many internships as you can, this will help you gain experience with branding and give you hands on experience with meeting tight deadlines/having to prioritize projects. When you interview, give examples of times you had to meet tight deadlines and how you stayed organized to ensure the success of a project. Have examples of what your favorite brands are and why you think they are doing a good job marketing their product. Let me know if this helps!
im headed to usf lolz how do u feel about sf as a whole
I love SF! I no longer live in the city but it was definitely a fun experience and I go back there for coffee/fun all the time! Good luck at USF!

You have a great energy, I think people likes your energy, because you have a cool personality. Good luck!

Hello Deyanira, I'm currently working on my resume. I have 5+ years of experience in sales and now I'm living here in Michigan (long story, lol I got married and moved from Brazil to here, but I'm moving in 10 days to Los Angeles where my husband recently moved for a job). What advice you can give in how to transfer my sales skills to marketing? Marking is my dream job and I'm here trying my best to make it nice. I found you her eon RUclips and I really like your personality. I'm excited to watch your videos and learn from you. Pretty cool life you have.
Attend marketing events, seminars and other related or self study about marketing. I am in sales for 2 years and I applied as marketing assistant I got the job because it depends to the true intentions and also you can gave them an idea that you know the area of marketing.
Hi Samantha, I hope the move is going well! Thank you so much for your comment! From my experience, Sales and Marketing work hand in hand so I'm sure you have more marketing experience than you think! I would focus on how you supported marketing in finding new opportunities. For example, if you identified a new business opportunity, you most likely worked with Marketing to bring that to life. What did you see in that opportunity, how did you know it would work, did it work and if so why? Show how you have been a creative thinker, how do you work under pressure, how do you work towards deadlines. I hope that helps you get a start! I've definitely seen people make the jump from Sales to Marketing so I'm sure if you have a passion for it, you will be able to make your way there as well!
Hello dear, I'm from India and aspiring to study at Erasmus Medical School for my bachelor's. Could you please let me know the process?
Hi! I applied through my home university, SFSU, so the application process was different than if I were to apply directly to the school. When I applied, I had to let my school know which university I wanted to attend, I shared my GPA and chose classes and then the process was more about getting a visa and being approved by my home institution. I'm not sure if this helps too much?

So, I am a student in Rotterdam as well and I have a few additions to what she said. When it comes to eating outside prices are quite high, NL has pretty expensive restuarants, but if you want to eat out, eat in Zuid ( south) Rotterdam bc prices there are cheaper. Then, the grocery stores. My top pick for groceries would be Lidl, prices are really really cheap and you can get most stuff there. She frogot to mention 2 other stores Jumbo and Spar, which are also quite okay when it comes to prices, they are more expensive than Lidl, but have more things. Albert Heijn is the most expensive and I go there, only if Lidl, Jumbo or Spar don't have things I need. Market is also a very good option. About school supplies, she said everything already. She forgot to mention Etos, which is a cosmetic shop. Housing, my recommendaton is to go look at StadswonenRotterdam, Kamernet or HousingAnywhere. Really be cautious when looking for a place on FB, bc there are so many scams. However, NL is currently expiriencing a housing crisis, SO LOOK AHEAD FOR HOUSING!! When it comes to night life, a lot of things are organised by Erasmus students. But to find sth you can go to Eventbribe or just look on Fb. I personally perfer techno, so top place to go to is perron. Other clubs are also poing, mono, now and wow, munch... If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me :)
Cool video nice bike
Please help if you are able to answer this question for interview...
