Thompson Ranchu I am UK wish I have the chance definitely I will get your stunning ranchu to breed on the line. Did breed few batch in the past here main majority came out with sashi tail which is sad as I don’t have the the proper good line from the breeding oya but just looking at your creations it inspired me to keep working on it for now keep culling.
@@j1ongsl check with Star Fisheries UK for ranchu from the famous breeder Andrew James.... occasionally he supplies good bloodline ranchu to Star Fisheries
In the winter I keep the water temp in the low 50's. No filtration, just an airstone. I move them to a fresh pond every 5-7 days when the water quality declines
I follow the Japanese method of 100% water changes. No filter of any type, only an airstone and 100% water changes by moving the ranchu into a fresh pond. :-)
@@NganNguyen-ev2pu Hello! There is no filtration. Only an airstone. when a water change is needed the ranchu are moved into a fresh pond. All the top ranchu in Jpana are raised this way. This method is less common in the West.
@@thompsonglass Thank you, in Vietnam, they also use many types of filters to clean the water, really hard to use, can you tell more about the fresh water please ❤️
Yes, that is part of the traditional Japanese method for raising ranchu. The low water level helps preserve the beautiful and open shape of the tail. Deeper water creates more water pressure on the delicate tail bones and can collapse the tail.
Always impressive quality fish I can stay there watching them all day.
You have best and strong healthy ranchu there. Master piece of ranchu art 👍
This is a very kind compliment! thank you!

That is very kind of you. The ranchu in Japan are much much better though!
How can I buy fish from you
Hello! ranchunotes.blogspot.com/p/sale-page_28.html
Is 88f to hot for ranchu goldfish?
Yes I think it's too hot. If water temps go above 84-85 deg F I will increase aeration and decrease feeding
Awesome fish, thanks for answering in instagram.
Glad to help share info! :-)
What food do you feed them?
Azayaka for the most part.
😇
